good "friendly" fence

Easy enough to put up, we put up 80ft at about an hour a panel on a chain link fence. When you put it up you have to stretch it really tight to get 16ft, we got closer to 15. It's not a privacy fence just a screen. You can see through it like a sheer curtain from certain angles so you still will be "friendly" with the neighbors. But it looks nice, and it has withstood a 2 day utah wind storm on a 4 1/2ft tall fence when we bought the 6ft tall screening. So we are happy with it's strength.

Great But Some Notes..

Good stuff but some things to know... 1) one layer of this will be 50% see through 2 layers will be 20% see through, 3 layers will be 2% see through so if you want total privacy you need 3 layer. 2) after 9 months or so it will turn grey... even if you put thompsons water seal on it when you first get it home. what I did is put up 2 layers and when it greyed I added a layer to freshen it up. I recommend using 12" clear zip ties to attach to a chain link at both the top of fence level and again a foot above the ground and attach it every 2 feet or so. You can also use galvanized wire. If you don't have access to the the other side of your fence you will have to have galvanized wire thick enough to hook through and pull back through to you. use plyers to twist **** and bend end back into the fence. its cheaper to buy a 4pack of rolls of this from ********** but if you only want one roll its cheaper through kmart with shipping costs.

Easy to install. Adds privacy!

|

This was an inexpensive way to cover our chain link fence. It just rolls out and attaches with zip ties. Adds privacy and looks nice. Not sure how long it will last.
