Convenient and sturdy little grill

I bought this grill on clearance because I figured it would be a nice little tabletop grill to use on my porch when I'm just cooking for one or two people. And it is absolutely perfect for that! This grill provides an easy, healthy and economical alternative to cooking inside all of the time! And it's the perfect grill for tail-gating, camping, and other uses away from home. It doesn't take up much room so it fits easily in a car. The lid latches securely to the grill, which makes it great for carrying. You can also load it with charcoal before you leave home and the lid will keep it inside the body of the grill. No need to lug a bag of charcoal with you! Assembly was quite simple and straight-forward. This little grill isn't flimsy at all and is holding up to weather, wind, etc. very well, like its much larger cousins. I have a full-size BBQ Pro grill, as well, and highly recommend this brand for longevity and durability, especially for the price! The only downside is what another reviewer mentioned -- if you keep the lid on the grill the entire time you're cooking, the charcoal will go out so it's not a great grill for smoking meats. However, I have used it to smoke chicken and fish by raising the lid frequently and stirring the coals to keep them going. It takes some attention and the smoky flavor won't be as intense, but it can be done. Otherwise, this is a great grill for a variety of other uses.

Just below mediocre

My girlfriend and I purchased this to hold us over in our new house before my aunt and uncle could deliver a larger, more comprehensive grill. This grill lacks any sort of lower vents and the lid vent is far too small to provide enough oxygen to keep coals lit whilst covered. Therefore, don't expect to use this while covered, it only works as a grill for direct heat. I'm considering drilling some holes in the bottom to remedy this.

My husband and I live in a apartment, and this is a great piece to have because it does not take a lot of space to store it. We do have space around the apartments to grill, this one is just compact.

pretty good, but needs tweaking

I agree with another reviewer...just drill 2 or 4 small holes in the bottom sides (facing each other) and you'll be fine with oxygenation for the coals. Another problem is that the grill plate on mine does not seat really well into the inside lip, so it's a bit tipsy. To me ---that's a slight hazard or regrettably--I end up blowing off dirt from my spilt burger!) With that added venting, it really works better than expected for a less-than- $20 grill.

A good portable grill, but not perfect.

I like this grill, small but can get many things done. I can do a small barbeque at my backyard or in a park. I also tried to smoke meat using it with good result.
However, as other reviewer said before, this one has a small flaw, if you close the lid, there will be not enough oxygen for the coal. The solution I have is to drill some holes on the bottom of the grill, then it works very well.

Good one

Since the last time that I bought it, I used it two times and was an amazing experience! The only problem is that you should use a table and put this one on the table.

Cheap grill for quick use

I do not know who is buying this grill with the expectations to use it on a full time basis. This grill is compact and great to use a few times a year either tailgating or camping. However, it does not have the quality to with stand long term use

Good travel grill

This little grill will be great for taking camping this year. It is small, but for our family of 3, it is just what I was looking for and a good price.

Decent grill

Good grill for very basic use. Item smaller than what it looks in picture. Mostly for camping or so. Easy to assemble, works well. Good value for the price paid.

Bbq grill

Loved the deal you guys are offering of 20k points back on this grill making it virtually free. And worth every penny. It cooks a mean burger. Nothing like charcoal grilling. Thank you

totally dissatisfied

Just bought this thing today. There's a screw missing out the pack. The latches are very weak and crooked and they don't latch. The top has a dent.

no grilling grill

I bought this grill to keep in my truck with my cooler to use when I take my grandson fishing or to the park. TOTAL waste of my money---after charcoal is lit (white hot), meat on grill and cover on, the charcoal GOES OUT in 10 minutes---leaving the top off makes the charcoal last about 5 minutes more. I didn't buy this product for a HOT DOG ONLY grill, but that's what it is. This grill is a complete failure on 2 burgers, 2 chops, 2 skinless chicken breast & 1 steak. NO MORE WASTED FOOD & TIME, it goes in the trash. I should have bought a WEBER table top that is properly vented.
