I have only owned a few blower, vacs.I`ve always wanted a gas blower. But couldn`t find any that have the power like this one.Unless i spend a few hundred dollars. I am very happy with this one.
You can't tell from the description or from the images - but the blower nozzle is a two piece assembly that allegedly snaps together. The bad part is: The nozzle constantly comes apart if you should happen to bump into anything. I wound up putting sheet metal screws into the nozzle to keep it together after only the second use. I could'nt stand to constantly turn the unit off and forcce the two pieces back together before the end of the nozzle blew off. As importantly, the variable speed feature is not accomplished through the electric switch. There is a sliding valve in the poorly designed nozzle that regulates airflow. The valve is supposed to click into place via a series of locking teeth. Doesn't work. The airflow valve will not hold any position. Instead of sheet metal screws, this time I used a zip-tie to lock the valve into the wide-open position. So much for variable speed. On the bright side, the unit does have the power and force to do a nice job both as a blower and a vac. Fix the lousy nozzle and you've got a nice product at a good price point.
I had been looking for a way to suck up leaves, etc. I was using my shop vac, but not enough suction. This is great. My only gripe is that now that I have gotten the bag to attach to the blower (by twisting the connection till it locked), I can't get it to unlock. This makes it awkward emptying the bag.
This is already in the garbage. The motor burned out. The bag was heavy and difficult to carry around with the (already heavy) machine. Looking at Worx products instead.
this is a product that does what you expect it to do and has a reasonable price.
VERY WELL MADE, HEAVY DUTY FOR THE PRICE, WORKS GREAT FOR BLOWING AND MULCHING.. JUST WISH THE MAIN BODY WAS A LITTLE LIGHTER
the only thing I would change it would be the plastic blade i would put then metal rather than plastic that way it wood crushed the small branches that it picup and it will not ruin the plastic ones i us it ones and the blades are starin to have dents on it
The unit has good power. Is easy to put together. Not heavy like the gas blower/vac. If you use it as a vac you have to hold it straight up and the gas powered vacs are too heavy and blow exaust in your face (quit unpleasant). The electric vacs are much lighter.

This blower really does the job and it is much quieter than gas powered models used by yard crews. It is light and easy to handle.
BOUGHT THIS END OF SEASON LAST YEAR. HAVE A 150' DRIVEWAY. AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR THE NOZZLE BROKE. I HAVE TO KEEP TAPING IT BACK ON. BUT, IT CONTINUES TO WORK GREAT. LOTS OF POWER. I JUST ORDERED A CRAFTSMAN AND WE'LL SEE HOW IT COMPARES.

I've had my "Leaf Hog" as it used to be called when they were green colored, for several years. I bought it to clean up after three large pine trees. Pine needles are the toughest leaf litter there is and this machine performed flawlessly. I tried and ruined three other blower-vacs before I found this one. I've replaced the impeller(grinder) twice in six years. Even though it is not recommended, it's sucked up twigs, rocks, and bark without incident. I recommend turning it off and dumping the objects out to prevent extra wear on the impeller but nothing has stopped the machine from running. I would term the use it has had as borderline abuse but it lives up to the Black and Decker reputation for bulletproff tools. I agree the std. bag falls off easily but I use the optional trash can attachment and never gave the bag a second thought. You can fill the trash can of your choosing with a mulch ratio of 10:1.It doesn't handle ivy vines but will do ice plant. Vines wrap around the impeller and will burn out the motor is left running. (Not exactly true because it has thermal overload protection.)Only problem to date is the motor bearing fell out. I took the housing apart and pressed it back in, no problems since.
We had a deck, and I bought this for my husband. It was a great purchase. It is easy to use and not heavy at all.
I've had this blower vac for about 18 months, used the vacuum feature most although the bag clip needs modification to remain in place - holding the collection bag tight against the motor mechanism otherwise at about quarter full, it will detach and ones work is undone!Either improve the single plastic clip/catch or re-design system with a fresh idea, more practicle less trendy and cheap.Otherwise this unit is good value for money, a solid working blower -vacuum and overall in best B&D reputation.
I've had this unit for three years and have used it both in the blower and the leaf vacuum/mulcher mode. Two items stand out: first, the blower has two speeds. This is extremely handy when wanting to 'control' how much force I am using to blow leaves or grass.Second is the leaf-cathing bag: it detaches and reattches easily, has a filtered air vent to pass the exhaust air away from the operator, and the bottom of the bag has two handles so that you can lift the bag and dump the vacuum material easily out of the large entry.
