Works as described by Consumer Reports

I trust Consumer Reports reviews and they loved this Bosch line. I'm quite happy with it, but: a few things to know. Capacity is smaller than my old noisy Kenmore, but it depends on what you put in. the dish tines are much closer so it holds lots of dishes. No complaints there. but it fills up sooner with non dish items than my Kenmore. This 50 dB unit is nice and quiet, but for "I can't hear it" quiet (with normal hearing!) you'll want the 48 or 46 dB model (46 is super whisper quiet). Things come sparkling clean, even my grungy turkey fryer basket and tub! I've had it 4 mo. and only refilled JetDry once. (There are consumption settings so maybe the unhappy reviewer is set to max.) Yes cycles are long, but the quick rinse for me is as good as the regular cycle (over 2 hours). Long wash times use little water and detergent--maybe not something you care about. My older unit was about 95 minutes. I do it overnight, so set it and forget it. Who cares how long?

Drying would be nice

It gets dishes decently clean; however it does NOT dry.... EVER... I have followed the instruction manual to a "T" and always make sure there is plenty of dishwasher rinse aid and I always spend extra time drying everything. I may as well hand wash them too.

Was happier with my old low-dollar Frigidaire

Very quiet and cleans well, but I?m not very happy with its configuration. The tines are too close together, making it difficult to put in things like pie pans. Anything this deep needs to lean and therefore taking up valuable space. The front has two differently spaced set of tines, but the wider spaced ones are virtually useless next to the tighter spaced ones. I only replaced the dishwasher because I was doing a kitchen remodel and my low-dollar Frigidaire was 8 years old. It still worked perfectly and I never used anything except the short wash cycle. I was able to load a lot more dishes in my old one. I would love to return the dishwasher.

Disappointing

Shortly after using this product for a year, the machine began throwing off error codes. E:24, E:01, E:25. The product was out of warranty and Bosch balked at any sort of help becasue my long-time appliance repairman was not authorized. They wanted to send their own man who charged $99 for the first ....get this......18 minutes......with more charges the more time he spent. All to diagnose. Very disappointed with Sears and Bosch.

Love my dishwasher

I have had my dishwasher for 1 month. I love it. It is super quiet and holds so many more dishes than my old one. Only slight drawback is large glasses are a little awkward to load. But it isn't a huge problem for us.

Nice Design. Could be more flexible inside.

Overall nice design. Impressed with the height between the bottom rack and the overhead spray arm (fits our crock pot, 11x17 cookie sheets, etc. Fold down tines, extra cup rack on top shelf nice. However, the extra cup rack would be more usable if adjustable (up/down) 1/2 inch -- then it would fit all the kid cups we have. The silverware basket is the 1 size long model, which does not allow for much flexibility if you have bigger items for the bottom rack. We had to get used to the angled tine plate holders (our previous model was all straight tines). Although it allows for lots of plates, it doesn't hold many of the newer, cheap plastic freezer/micro/dishwasher disposable storage containers. Finally, although the manual states it has a 3-6-9 hour delay wash timer, the LED option lights seem to offer us 1-24 hour delay. Haven't tried it yet, but may do so -- just to see if it is a new feature that didn't make it into the manual. Overall, a good buy, and we got a nice sale and discount price through Sears.

Extremely quiet and very efficient

We had a 10 year old dishwasher that we thought was working well but we were wrong! Dave at our Sears directed us to this machine and it was a great recommendation. This machine is very quiet (no need to turn up the TV in the next room) and does an extremely good job cleaning the dishes and plates. The only issue is that there is a different way to load the machine. Not a big deal but after 10 years there are some habits to change.

Buy it

We were the ones that bought a dishwasher 5 years ago and it never cleaned. All we heard about was the change in soap caused this. Not to mention the noise.
Anyway, we just had a huge remodel done to our kitchen and this is my biggest thrill. It is quiet, it cleans and it dries....perfect...buy it.

No rinse and smells

It has no rinse cycle. WHen dishes are washed it doesn't really dry the dishes enough and there is a odor that comes from the tub. Silverware tray isn't convenient and bottom rack comes off the track often unless your really careful opening it.

Washes well, quiet, but has some surprising flaws

I've had this dishwasher for a little over a week. The good: It washes very well and is extremely quiet. The bad: Overall, it has a flimsy tin-and-plastic feel to it. The bottom rack drags badly against the sealing gasket on the right side as the rack is slid in and out. If you place the silverware basket on this side, the hooks on the basket drag even worse. After only 9 days of use, the gasket is showing signs of wear in this area. You can relocate the basket to the rear but then the unit becomes difficult to load. Overall capacity is poor. Stemware doesn't fit in the top without lying it almost on its side, and the bottom rack doesn't seem to hold a lot. If you have a family of 4 or more, you might find yourself running more loads than you used to.

Love this machine!

The interior appears small, but holds a lot of dishes. The silverware basket is large and allows the option of dividing the sections to prevent the spoons from nesting together. Proper placement of the dishes is majorly important, check the manual for directions. This dishwasher REALLY cleans. It takes off peanut butter, chip dip and dried on "Cream of Wheat", even off of silverware. My previous two dishwashers just dried them on even more. I wish it had a "rinse and hold" cycle, but the actual cleaning of the dishes is more than a fair trade off.
