Good value

This dishwasher looks nice and is quiet when in use. It cleans very well. Items with egg on it, like whisks, forks, and plates came out clean with no residue. I took a star away because the door is hard to open and sometimes shuts when I don't want it to. Otherwise, I am happy with this purchase.

Disappointing

Shortly after using this product for a year, the machine began throwing off error codes. E:24, E:01, E:25. The product was out of warranty and Bosch balked at any sort of help becasue my long-time appliance repairman was not authorized. They wanted to send their own man who charged $99 for the first ....get this......18 minutes......with more charges the more time he spent. All to diagnose. Very disappointed with Sears and Bosch.

Cleans well and looks nice

|

Despite some poor reviews we decided to select this dishwasher because overall there were more positive than negative reviews, the base price was reasonable for a Bosch, free install & delivery was offered and we had had a Bosch previously that was quiet and cleaned well for 12 years.

We have now had it for over a month and are very pleased. It is quiet (we have large open floor plan so this was critical for us), easy to operate and cleans well. Some have complained the bottom rack falls off its track which is true, but simply pull it out completely by the handle provided and don't allow it drop. It takes a little practice to load, but not a problem once you figure out the best way. We are actually happier with it than the previous (and more expensive) Bosch which was cranky to load and we had to angle clumsily our large plates. Not with this one. I guess if you have heavy thick plates and bowls it is not for you.

We like the auto setting - a sensor decides how dirty and how full thus how long to wash...what could be better than that? We have not had any problem with not drying completely, maybe those complaining about this were in a hurry? Overall for the price this dishwasher is very good and is exceeding our expectations.

This dishwasher really is quiet.

|

We bought this dishwasher last month when our old dishwasher quit pumping the water out. It cleans very well and has plenty of settings to handle any cleaning job. It's super quiet. At first it is a little hard to learn how to load it, as it is set up different than our old dishwasher. The one disappointment is that the dishwasher is only 23 inches wide verses 23 and 3/4 inches that our old washer was. It doesn't fit the hole nicely, there is a vinyl flange that covers the rest of the hole but it looks a bit tacky. The most important is that it cleans well.

Should have paid attention to reviews

|

The reviews that say you can't load this dishwasher without having dishes touch are spot on! I am a mother of 7 kids and we can't get our bowls to fit in this silly dishwasher. 2 weeks of trying all kinds of different arrangements has left me with dirty dishes and frustrated! Returning this one and getting a Kenmore with a simpler design on the inside...I don't know how this dishwasher got its ranking from Consumer Reports??? It doesn't clean!

Good except for washing dishes

|

It is quiet but: the racks were designed for anything but dishes and cookware. Maybe they were made for paper plates because anything thicker packs in too tight to clean. There is not enough adaptable space for 9x13 and similar type cookware. The silverware tray takes up almost twice the room as usually needed. It normally takes time to learn how to load a new rack system, but after 3 mo., I find this one totally frustrating. They must expect you to just run a second load with cookware laying flat. My big complaint is that about 1/3 of our dishes do not come clean.

curse the day i bought this

|

i bought the bosch 24" stainless steel built in dishwasher one year ago and my husband and I are extremely disapointed with it.
several reasons:
#1 does NOT clean the dishes. i have even tried pre cleaning and scrubbing them so they are only lightly dirty, and they come out looking worse than when i put them in. the only way I can get them clean is by washing them in heavy wash which is very long cycle and i imagine, not energy efficient, as the dishwasher is labeled.
-Today was last straw. i served some coffee to a guest and realized when I was drinking from my own mug, that it had detergent taste on it. then I looked at my guests mug and she had baked in drip stains down the side. uggh
#2. the bottom dishwasher FREQUENTLY comes off the slider, gets off track, and the wheel pops off. then is difficult to put back on.
#3. smaller points: is awkard small space and doesnt fit larger dishes like casserole dish. the silverware basket is awkward and hard to get to, i dont like the gridded top that makes you place silverware one by one into individual slots.
I am going to try to get my money back/exchange it, and if I have to I will replace it on my own, that is how much it annoys us.

It is so quiet

|

We purchased from Sears a different brand which turned out to be slightly larger than the cabinet space. We went down to the store, and the salesperson, who was tremendously knowledgeable and resourceful, helped us pick this one, which at 22" wide, is perfect size. This dishwasher is so quiet, we had to stand right next to it to make sure it was actually running. The silverware trays are very adaptable in the basin into whatever position you might need them to be. A nice feature. This dishwasher does not offer heat drying, which is actually nice. It uses what sounds like a cool fan drying, and everything comes out nice, squeaky clean and dry. Excellent dishwasher.

Disappointed

|

The dishwasher cleans well, but if you don't generate a full load each day there is a problem with odor buildup in the unit, something that wasn't a problem with the 19 year-old unit it replaced. I saw complaints about the bottom rack and discovered that they are valid, it will slip off track easily. In spite of Sears advertising free delivery, by the time the total charges were added up it cost me $155 additional for a finished standard installation with haul-away.

Don't believe the hype

|

We bought this dishwasher because of the rave reviews from independent sources. We researched it, and found it to be golden, at first. When we first bought the machine, it was truly awesome. By year 5 (we had our old machine 10 years) it was pretty bad. The top rack is pretty worthless. The wheels break off and to find a Bosch replacement (outside of Bosch because of the incredibly high cost) was ridiculous. When it was fixed, it broke again. Great steel tub and cheap plastic wheels. Makes no sense. We use our dishwasher three times a day at least. We are buying a new one this week and will NOT go with a Bosch.

While we loved the quietness of the machine and ease of use, the quiet doesn't matter if your dishes don't get cleaned and the top rack is a wipeout. Look at other reviews online, not just here. You will see that the top rack is problematic for many people.

Was happier with my old low-dollar Frigidaire

|

Very quiet and cleans well, but I?m not very happy with its configuration. The tines are too close together, making it difficult to put in things like pie pans. Anything this deep needs to lean and therefore taking up valuable space. The front has two differently spaced set of tines, but the wider spaced ones are virtually useless next to the tighter spaced ones. I only replaced the dishwasher because I was doing a kitchen remodel and my low-dollar Frigidaire was 8 years old. It still worked perfectly and I never used anything except the short wash cycle. I was able to load a lot more dishes in my old one. I would love to return the dishwasher.

Love my dishwasher

|

I have had my dishwasher for 1 month. I love it. It is super quiet and holds so many more dishes than my old one. Only slight drawback is large glasses are a little awkward to load. But it isn't a huge problem for us.

Nice Design. Could be more flexible inside.

|

Overall nice design. Impressed with the height between the bottom rack and the overhead spray arm (fits our crock pot, 11x17 cookie sheets, etc. Fold down tines, extra cup rack on top shelf nice. However, the extra cup rack would be more usable if adjustable (up/down) 1/2 inch -- then it would fit all the kid cups we have. The silverware basket is the 1 size long model, which does not allow for much flexibility if you have bigger items for the bottom rack. We had to get used to the angled tine plate holders (our previous model was all straight tines). Although it allows for lots of plates, it doesn't hold many of the newer, cheap plastic freezer/micro/dishwasher disposable storage containers. Finally, although the manual states it has a 3-6-9 hour delay wash timer, the LED option lights seem to offer us 1-24 hour delay. Haven't tried it yet, but may do so -- just to see if it is a new feature that didn't make it into the manual. Overall, a good buy, and we got a nice sale and discount price through Sears.
