Very happy with this purchase

I've had this dishwasher for about 3 years and have had no problems with it at all.

It is super quiet. I hardly hear it. It sounds like gentle rain when it is running, and with my great room and TV right next to the kitchen and an open floor plan, noise was always a problem with my old GE dishwasher. Not so with this one.

It cleans really well, though I do usually rinse my dishes off before I load them. Glasses come out nice and clean, with no water spots or etching. I am using the Finish rinse aid and Finish detergent recommended by Bosch, and that seems to work very well with it. It ensures my dishes are dry when the cycle is done. Other detergents don't work as well, and I quickly switched right after I got it based on reviews I read on Consumer Reports and the Sears website.

The tub has a plastic bottom, but I really don't see that as a problem.

The dishwasher may be smaller inside than some other brands, but that is because of the amount of insulation used to make it so quiet. For me that is an acceptable trade off. I live alone and and though I cook at home most nights, I only have to run the dishwasher once or twice a week. Works for me. Maybe not for a large family though.

The bottom rack is a little flimsy. It's not attached to the dishwasher and it doesn't always stay on it's track when pulled out. This is kind of a pain in the rear when the dishwasher is full, getting it to go back in straight. However, it's not a huge inconvenience, just an irritant.

There are few tines on the top rack to support glassware. It hasn't really been a problem for me as I don't slam the rack back into the washer or slam the door shut, but I can see where this might be a problem if you are rough or use a lot of stemware. I like it because I can load larger items and bigger coffee mugs without any problems or size constraints. But it does not support stemware well at all.

I can load plastics on the bottom or top rack and not have to worry about them melting. I do think it has a heating element to dry dishes, but it is not so hot as to melt plastic. Also having the wash arms underneath each rack gives me more space to load larger items and ensures my dishes get nice and clean. The pressure is not so high either that it throws lightweight stuff around inside, or uprights lighter plastic bowls so they fill with water.

I also have a stainless Bosch range and together they look really sharp and high end in my kitchen. Oh, there is a film across the stainless on the front of the dishwasher that keeps it from getting fingerprints. Maybe I was supposed to remove this, not sure, but it doesn't detract at all from the appearance and it protects the finish, so I have left it on.

Overall I have been really satisfied and happy with this dishwasher. So much so that I am selliing my house and taking it and my Bosch range with me, replacing them with a cheaper stainless appliances.

Stay away from this Bosch dishwasher SHE3AR75UC

I just had it installed yesterday and was very disappointed.  It says it is "SilentPlus" but it is loud.  Also, there is a smell that comes after running the dishwasher that does not go away.  Looked up this problem on the internet and discovered several other postings  from people having the same problem with their Bosch dishwasher.  Again, very disappointed and will try to exchange.  Hoping Sears will be cooperative.

disappointed

I was very disappointed that the door panel was not a smooth stainless. It is a textured stainless appearance-had i noticed this before it was installed,I would have returned it. It does not match my recently purchased refrig. The door latch is almost impossible to open with one hand, and not easy with two. Bottom rack does not glide smoothly. I noticed it was made by Electrolux. They make an excellent vacuum cleaner and maybe they need to stick to what they are good at. One good point-it is quiet.

Would rather have my 12 year old dishwasher back!

I like the smooth look of the front of this dishwasher. However, that is all I like about it. It cleans about the same as our older model did, but it doesn't dry the dishes. They can sit ALL day and still be dripping wet. Who wants to hand dry dishes when they have a dishwasher that is supposed to do that? Based on the other reviews on this site I believe Sears (Kenmore) needs to take a look into this complaint. Perhaps a recall is needed?

dont buy this

NEVER do reviews but this dishwasher is such a disappointment! I bought it in feb. of last year and have had to have it serviced 6 times.... and it is still leaking. The first time I had it serviced was a month after I got it , and the most recent being feb of this year and it is now leaking again. If you do get it make sure you get the extended warranty with it... in my opion its not worth the hassel or the money!

Drying would be nice

It gets dishes decently clean; however it does NOT dry.... EVER... I have followed the instruction manual to a "T" and always make sure there is plenty of dishwasher rinse aid and I always spend extra time drying everything. I may as well hand wash them too.

Horrible quality

We've had this dishwasher for about five years and it really only worked well for the first 4 or 5 months. It's never cleaned very well (even with very thorough rinsing), so we've spent lots of time and money hiring maintenance people and troubleshooting the thing. At this point, the rinse cycle is so bad that we can taste the dishwasher detergent on our dishes - they actually feel dusty when we pull them out, and our glassware is cloudy with rings of dried detergent on them. We have cleaned filters, run vinegar and baking soda through it, and so on. The only explanation I can think of for others' high ratings is that they've not had the dishwasher for very long. Don't buy this thing unless you get a very long warranty!

Whirlpool Dishwasher

We purchased the WDF530PAYM Dishwasher is wonderful. It runs quietly and efficiently. We have a large family, so it gets a workout everyday. It is always ready for the challenge. It is roomy we like the convenience of moving the silverware tray it gives extra space, which is needed. We are very happy with this product.

This product is easy to use.

The only problem we have with this product is that it does not dry as well as our old dishwasher (16 years old). The overall design is excellent. This dishwasher is very quite.

This dishwasher is quiet and cleans well.

I love the utensil rack on the door. It is quiet. Cleans well. The only negative is that my dishes are wet when the cycle is over which is kinda of annoying when unloading. Also I think it is the cause of the odor.

A great buy in dishwashers

We bought this Whirlpool to replace an older GE and this unit exceeds our former GE. The Whirlpool is quieter, has more room for pots and pans, and seems to be of better quality. The only minus compared to our old GE is that the wash cycle is much longer with the new Whirpool, but I understand that is the case with all newer dishwashers as a whole.

Flawed Product

I purchased this appliance in 9/2010, it ran fine for 21/2 years then started shutting down during the wash cycle, flashing blue lights on the panel which indicated a problem. I contacted Samsung service who came to my house three times to fix the problem which they could not resolve. Samsung customer service was not accommodating, stating its out of warranty. I paid over $750 to purchase and install this unit.

Not sure yet!

I am running my new dishwasher for the second time (in a month? since installation) right now. It has a larger capacity than my old one (circa 1991), so it takes longer to get a full load. I have no reason to run a dishwasher every day or even weekly! Don't have that many dishes. Though it has more capacity, I'm not sure that it has ability to accommodate more pots and pans over plates. However, its positive differences are quite evident. I LOVE how quiet it is! I'm not sure that it's running at all!? The control options are just foreign to me. Not sure what is best for my usage. Did not have the rinse agent option with the old one, and didn't use it the first time here. Hope that it makes a huge difference with this load. Otherwise, the results of my first load were not as good as I had hoped. Here's hoping for much improved results this time...

Kenmore 24" built-in Dishwasher

I like the fact that this dishwasher is much more roomer than my old one. I do wish that it had a time remaining window on the front of the door.

Best I've ever owned!

This has got to be the greatest dishwasher I have ever owned, and I've owned quite a few! I love the ease of use, and the silverware tray location allows for more loading of dishes....unlike my other dishwashers.
