Craftsman 1/2 in. drill

The model 00910116000 half-inch drill is a excellent buy! While a bit (pardon the pun) more expensive that the 5000 model it is well worth the difference in price. It is compact, lightweight (for a 1/2" in. drill), and POWERFUL. This drill will handle the tough jobs yet is compact and light enough to do delicate work as well. I purchased this drill to replace a 3/8" product. It will do everything the old 3/8" did and so much more. Anyone looking for a 'working' drill for a garage hobby shop should give this one a close examination. It's a teriffic drill!

Sorry but the drill burned up the first time I used it.

I purchased the drill and paid for the delivery.Looked good but the first time I used it it started shooting black smoke.I called customer service and they informed me that I needed to bring it back to the store.I live 80 miles round trip from the nearest sears store that is why I paid for the delivery. Not a pleasant experience to say the least.I will edit my post after I make the journey to the nearest store to return for a refund.

returned it

Found a better deal on an equitable product elsewhere - had enough left over to buy drill bits and a hamburger.............

If you need a 1/2" drill, buy this craftsman.

Very powerful 1/2" drill. Tackles all projects with ease. Great features for a drill in this price category.

Needed for heavy duty drilling

I purchased a predecessor to this model about 25 years ago. I use it for all the heavy duty jobs where my cordless drills can't take the abuse. It is as good or better than the higher end corded drills and a must for any do it yourselfer

Decent drill, especially for the price

Pros- 1/4" size, good price, good power, case included Cons- not much space in case for bits, a bit heavy, stability handle not easy to remove without tools

craftsman drill

I bought this craftsman drill as a gift . I have to tell ya .he thought it was great. He uses it all the time. He even took it to work with him and used it at his job. Had every one wanting to use and did some . He goes out of town some on installs and took it with him and the guys was like wheres your drill . They thought it was great . The size of it was very awsome took up no room at all. They liked it so well they bought one for the shop. Its small and light weight but gets the job done great. If you dont have one buy it you wont regret it.

Craftsman 1/2 in. Corded Drill

This drill replaced a 40 year old Craftsman. I was skeptical; yes, loath to trust; a newbie to stand up and be counted--but it worked and that is all this Craftsman man can ask. Keyless chuck? T-handle for stability? Okay, maybe the old way is not best.
