I bought this on sale a couple of months ago and have had a couple of opportunities to use it. I used it first on my 1972 El Camino and it sure did take a lot less time and effort to polish it up over doing it all by hand!
I then used it on my 2009 F-150, a truck I hated to wax but now don't mind it a bit!
I like the way the handle is set making this polisher quite easy to use at all different angles. It has enough power to do the jobs I want it to do around the home. I even used it on my new air compressor and now it shines like crazy and didn't wear me out doing it!
For the money this one is hard to beat!
The design of the polisher may be consistent with today's style. However, it still seems bulky and the terrycloth bonnets that are included and the wool polishing bonnet and of such cheap quality. Not only that, but you have to fight to get them on the wheel. They are stretched so tight I believe it interferes with the quality of the finish. I used it for about 3 swipes across the tailgate of my truck and stopped, packed it up. I won't use it again. I will give it to someone. The time to return has run out. I also believe the polish bonnet should be microfiber, not terry. Much, much better job taking polish off without swirls. You had a very good 9 in buffer. I had one and the only reason I got rid of it was the foam pad fell apart. It was about time though. It was about 10 yrs old. The pads fit too.
use this to buffer wood that I have finished and waxed works great have not use it on car so don't no how will it work for that but thank it well do a good job
Bogs down too easily...under powered.
I bought a Sears buffer several years ago and used little. It has set awhile. I decide to use it again and it did not work. Open it up to check the brushes and the were fine. Further inspection indicated the armature had open winding so it trash. It was ok when it worked but had a lot of vibration. Sears quality has plumited over the years.
Like it so far. Does a real good job, makes waxing your car a lot easier. A friend of mine had one, let me use it and then bought one for myself.
Purchased as a gift for my dad. He's already used it and loves it. Great price. Comes in a nice container with pads.
I bought a new truck, the first thing is made sure you wax the roof. the cord is to short, would be better if it was 4'' or 5'' longer. Also I wish it was American made. "But" work really well.
easy to use
This is actually a really nice buffer. The price I got this 10 inch Craftsman buffer was Amazing. I actually got it on a one day sale for $29.99. At that price you can not beat it. It works very nicely. Also at that price you could not even buy 1/2 of the buffer bonnets that came with it. Overall; I am very happy with this item that I purchased.
This craftsman 10" buffer bucket kit is probably the best value out there if you are in the market for one. It comes with of course the buffer, 3 wax applicator pads, 3 removal pads, as well as 1 high quality polishing pad. The buffer is easy to use and the included bucket can be used as storage for the tool or it recommends you use it to wash your car! There are other, smaller buffers out there for double the price. I got this on sale for $30 regularly $60. For the price, even at regular price, you cannot go wrong. Great product!
This is a replacement for a $40 Craftsman buffer I bought in the 80's. I like the handle on this one. I have 2 cars that will get waxed twice a year, I'm sure this will last as long as the first one. It comes with a few bonnets to get you started, but 10" terry bonnets are inexpensive and easy to find. I use a damp terry bonnet to put wax or polish down, and a dry one to take it off. If you are a professional detailer, get a Porter Cable. For the rest of us, this will work great.
Look I'm not going to say this is the best buffer out there. There are many different manufactures that produce much higher quality Products. That being said, for $50 it's not that bad at all. The build quality is actually very impressive for a buffer this cheap. And the motor is 1.3 amps. If you go look at the ryobi model at ********** it's only .75 Amps for the same price. Meaning this guy will out power the ryobi and not bog down on you when really pushing the thing down on those hard to buff areas. It also comes with several bonnets for polishing and wax application and removal. Not bad like I said for around $50. I wish I could show my results from the unit on this review as I've already polished 4 cars with it and they all turned out really well.
A great Craftsman product, easy to use and great resuts. No heavyt and very easy to handle...strongly recommend
good buffer does the job i want it to do.
Bought this for a Christmas Present, nephew loved it. Works well and keeps car looking great!
Not a bad buffer polisher for the price . A lot better than doing it by hand .
Operates smoothly and makes a tedious task a breeze.
worked great when waxing my truck
Very light with a lot of power and surface
