Not a lug-nut remover

This kit seamed like a great deal when I got it for under $50. That was until I tried to loosen the lug nuts on my car. I have a heavy duty air compressor and I turned the settings all the way up. This impact is useless for removing lug-nuts. I'm not sure what else it can be used for. I have tried the impact wrench on several different times with no luck. It can be used to put the lug-nuts on but then you better just use your lug wrench to do the final tightening as this item is useless for that also. The other problem is that if you install the threaded air fitting into the tools you can no longer use the case. They will not fit back into the case. I would not recommend this kit to anyone.

Super Tools for the Mechanic

|

Bought this for $33.00 with 50% off sale and SYW Max points and free shipping. These are amazingly better tools than I expected The 1/2" Impact wrench is very heavy with a quality metal housing, no chrome plastic on any of these tools. The 3/8" air ratchet is very handy to get into tight places. I have a lot of air tools for carpentry, like nail guns and this set will compliment any tool box for anyone who works on cars and motors. The extra hose is a nice feature and the assortment of connecters and even a roll of Teflon tape so you have everything for the mechanic. Even at $50.00 this is a great deal.

not for anyone who actually wants to do work. maybe for city boys

|

yup, i saw the reviews about not being able to remove lug nuts but thought the craftsman brand was worth the try. have a 2008 wrangler and the lug nuts won't even budge, even with the regulator turned all the way up and the wrench on the highest setting. complete garbage. the hose that came with it is nice! and yeah, case is worthless as well once the connectors are installed on the tools.
