Here's another C3 tool I would find hard to work without. Using standard drills (corded or uncorded) I seem to always get in a situation where with the bit\driver installed, it ends up being Too Long to get the job done right. Now, with this RIGHT Angle drive drill, I can accomplish many more tight area task than before. Once I got my basic Craftsman C3 set, I added this RA Drill almost immediately!
I find it has a great amount of torque, is ergonomic in design and has helped me complete some difficult to get to jobs (like drilling attic top 2X4 plates). It would be nice if there were a step torque clutch on the chuck, but that would just add weight and angle depth to the drill, not what I want.
I've been very pleased with this specialized drill and found it to perform perfectly amongst my Craftsman cordless 19.2 volt collection!
I bought this to work under a house, over my head, etc., It looks small and slim online, but when i got it, geez, the thing is huge. Add on the battery pack and you got a monster on your hands. I'm returning mine to the store and going with a Ryobi. Don't get me wrong, i love my regular Craftsman cordless drills, but this thing is not convenient for working in tight spaces, too heavy to hold over your head for long.
A true "must have" in any tool box! it simply does work. I purchased this in 2014 and have used it far more than I had planned. it has plenty of torque and with the multi speed trigger is easy to control. I love the versatility of the C3 system and will continue to use the many other tools in the C3 line.
Have used many times. Especially handy using to install cabinet and storm doors. Has held up well. Bought extra battery, for larger projects, to keep going
This item was on sale, since I already have the drill this is a great addition.
Great for tight places
it looks like they will not be making this drill anymore. i am glad i got mine in time.
I love this tool work in a body shop comes in handy
It is a bit heavy.
It is a bit less-than-solid.
But it uses the same batteries that my other 19.2 tools use.
So, overall, am satisfied with it.
I ordered this drill for my dad who is a master carpenter. He is very critical of his tools and he said "this drill is very well built and a great device just like all of his other Craftsman tools." Therefore, I would highly recommend this tool for your collection as well!
Used the Craftsman C3 Right Angle Drill/Driver to make tighten a few screws that were difficult to reach. The screws went in with ease. I would recommend this product.
This drill works extremely well in tight spaces. It makes an excellent addition to your C3 set. It was a little awkward at first, but it didn't take long to get comfortable with the drill.
It will fit in those hard to reach places between studs the motor seems reasonably strong I would rate this higher if it had a 1/2 ratcheting chuck.
I've had my drill/driver for several years and use it all the time. Purchased two for Christmas gifts. The only negative was finding out after the fact that the battery was not included, a fact that I failed to note when it was ordered. I have since purchased them so the recipients have a working tool.
this is a good drill for those tight spaces. i am glad that it is keyless. this thing beats the **** out of using an adapter. i wish it had more rpm and torque though.
Perfect for tighter spaces. Naturally, over the conventional drill driver Model # DD2101, you sacrifice RPMs (Right angle 1050 vs 1600) and Torque in/lbs (Right angle 150 vs 565)
I had installed vinyl stockade fence panels. Because I have an 18" brick wall 10-12" from the fence, I was unable to screw the bottom brackets to the fence panels. So, I purchased this right angle drill/driver and voila. I was able to attach every one.
I'm glad that I purchased this item.
i love that i can now use this in tight spots
At first I thought it was a little on the heavy side. However the more I use it, I find it is easier to handle & control. I also like the built in light.
