Surprising and excellent product

small middle-aged woman whips 4 overgrown flower beds into shape in less than 2 hours with her new, easy to use crafstman electric mini tiller. Buy this! Use the adjustable rear wheels to determine depth or remove for deep tilling just like the mantis. if you like fast results; have no desire to use gas machines; want to work without aching backs, calloused hands or sore knees. This tool is a no-brainer. thanks, craftsman designers!!

I purchased based on the other reviews. What they had to say was VERY TRUE! It"s great for a petite person. There are several draw backs: 1- it is a fair weather machine. In the instructions it states that it can only be used when the soil is DRY. 2- it provides a cord lock, but it still gets in the way when using it in a larger area. 3- there is no depth guage and it does not till very deep.

Best Electric Tiller Yet!

I bought this tiller at a local store after reading good reviews but had reservations when I saw how small it was. Needn't have worried! This is far better than a gas powered Mantis I own and even superior to the electric Mantis I used last year. I'm a 70 year old woman and found this amazingly easy to use on my previously tilled soil ... no bouncing out of control, digs right in with ease and did everything I needed . And when it caught a rock and stalled out, my heart sank thinking I'd burned the motor out but no - it has an auto shut-off and came right back online when I cleared the stone out and pressed the re-set button! Don't hesitate to buy this one - it's tough , dependable and easy to use - AND I didn't have to stop it every few minutes to clear weeds from the tines (it's very well-designed and engineered).

Quick Delivery, not so great Communication

Item seems to work great: one tine damaged first time used, but that probably hit something.

Just right for me.

Being a senior citizen, I needed something that I could operate. This has worked out fine and fits my needs.

Great Little Machine

I purchased this mini tiller so I could manage my backyard garden by myself. It's great for small jobs and easy to maneuver.

It does a good job when amending soils.

I own this electric roto-tiller and I am very pleased with its operation. It does a good job of blending in amendments to the beds that are already established. I would not recommend it for very hard soils or sod breaking for the a first time garden, but for cultivating already established seed beds and garden soils it is easy to handle especially for raised beds in the garden to get them ready just before planting.

The electric mini tiller is adequate for which it was designed.

Pleased so far but have only used it once. Was fast and did what I wanted it to do. The wheels could be about two inches wider to give the tiller a little bit more stability.

Does everything I expected only better.

I did not think an electric tiller would be powerful enough. I was pleasantly surprised. In fact minutes into using this item I decided to expanded the garden this year. It goes through previously worked ground with little effort, grass a little slower and high weed will clog it fast. Electric starts every time and i don't need to change oil or spark plug at the end of the season.

first tiller

My only experience with tillers were the ones my dad had as a kid when I had little interest in gardening. What I remember was my dad having big gas tillers that made easy work of the ground. I wasn't sure if this electric tiller would do a good job then, but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. It has a good amount of power and it does a good job of turning over the soil and even some grass and plant matter. Based on my limited experience, I would recommend this item to others.

Craftsman 120V Electric Mini Tiller #07129263000P

Very impressed with the power of this electric tiller. I could control this tiller not like a huge monster tiller that controls you and will shut off when I hit roots and turned my garden very well!! After viewing online for couple years I wish I had purchased sooner!

Craftsmand 120V Electric Mini-Tiller - A fantastic buy!

Purchased on sale $200 and was skeptical that something so small would be of much use. Boy was I wrong, it has just enought weight, the tines are plentiful/sharp and the on/off switch is great for control. It was light weight but at the same time very sturdy. After stripping off the turf it ripped thru hard virgin background dirt to create a garden in about an hour. Was a cakewalk thru existing flower beds and around shrubbery. Wow, really impressed that such a compact electric tiller could almost do as well as a huge unruly gas powered one (been there done that). For light to moderate lawn/gardening this is the tiller for you.

The Electric Mini Tiller is small, lightweight and easy to handle

. I purchased the Craftman 120V Electric Mini Tiller as a Do It Yourself project. I have a small garden area. The price of the tiller with a little physical exercise will greatly benefit me financially as well as health wise. I'm a female senior and I don't need to pay for a handyman or exercise classes. It handles very well.

Just right for small gardens and flower beds.

I have used this in the garden, my flower beds and although probably not recommened, to till the back yard to prep for seeding. The easy to remove tines helped with cleaning. Helpful hint: I got better control pulling it than letting it dig itself forward.

Wonderful...Powerful Mini Tiller

I bought this electric mini tiller because of the previous good reviews and price. It does not disappoint. It is easy to use, lightweight, electric instead of gas powered, and it actually works. It tilled through our clay soil easily and is perfect for tilling our yearly garden and for landscaping. A good purchase!

I bought this knowing I would kill it...and I haven't yet.

I'm in the process of digging out a portion of my crawlspace to install a stairway. To say that the ice age did a number on this area in regards to embedded rock deposits, would be an understatement. I picked up this tiller because I didn't want to run a gas engine in the basement while working, and its been mighty. Heres a video: http://youtu.be/LxrYcHNz6Nc The open area on the right side of the vid is whats already been chewed up by the tiller, and I'm expanding the dig to the left... :) The dirt being removed is about 4 feet high, the top foot & a half is loose soil, then the glacier rubble for about another foot & a half, then compacted clay the rest of the way down. This tiller isn't perfect, but it has paid for itself in saved time easily...
