This unit hands down beats the competition garbage (slime brand) I went through 3 of the other brand in a week. This one is also quieter. The only thing I dont like is if you need more than 100psi you have to manually wait rather than set it and let it do its thing. other than that great little unit. Also its cheaper at Kmart than Sears so get it here!
This thing worked a couple of times, then started blowing fuses in my Pontiac and my wife's Mitsubishi. Sears customer service being what it is, the yokels at the local Sears refuse to replace it, because they can't find a record of my purchase despite the fact that I'm supposed to be a Craftsman Club member, the main benefit of which is supposed to be that I'm not supposed to have to save receipts.
This Craftsman inflator it works very great, and I also bought another one for my son,
I bought it because you can never be too prepared, it's small enough to put under the seat and it works great the pressure gauge works awesome and I just set the preset and I doneed have to worry about over inflation. I definetly recommend it to someone that is running around with there vehicle whether its camping or working.
I was disappointed upon removing and inserting the digital tire pressure gauge (less than 3 times) that the electronic pins were bending out of shape. When the pins didn't align properly in their cradle, it caused auto shutoff to malfunction. I was able to bend mine back with a pocketknife, but I can't imagine how many times before the pins would've snapped completely. It's a shame, because the unit was cool-looking and otherwise incredibly compact and convenient to use. If they had just spent a little more time on quality testing, it would have been a great purchase. I was able to top off my tires with no problem, but ultimately had to return the inflator because of those annoying little pins on the gauge itself. I decided to get the Craftsman 12V direct drive compressor instead with separate tire gauge, and I'm much happier.
I purchased this to inflate air mattresses and game balls. ( and a tire if need be ) Every time I turned it on - it blew the fuse. Lucky for me I live next door to an auto part store and they were easy to come by.
I didn't try it right away and it was after the 30 day return window, so now I'm stuck with it, and its not heavy enough to use as a door stop . Too bad it didn't also come with a cord to plug into a wall outlet. If you are willing to buy it, make sure you try it right away..lesson learned the hard way.
Works great. Built-in gauge very convenient.
I have one of these in both family cars. Let me start by telling you the cheapo no name brand ones are only going to blow out your fuse for you 12v plug and leave you with a dead outlet. I have tried many. This not only worked perfectly, it did not tax the 12v fuse and was well within acceptable power usage limits. I have a crossover with large tires. This product locks onto the air tube leaving you with both hands free. it has a long long cord that allows you to easily reach the back tires. the lcd screen tells you current psi and allows you to set your limit or just updates you as you fill. works fast and is not loud and doesnt get hot. My wife is comfortable using it and I love knowing she has it in an emergency. Totally worth it especially if you see it on sale. I also bought a couple as gifts.
nice price ,..good quality,..free and fast shipping ,..thanks !
