We purchased the 14.4 Craftsman drill/flashlight combo a few years ago. The batteries eventually stopped holding a charge so we purchased two of these replacement batteries. We have had them for a few months now and we are very happy with them. It is nice to have new batteries so that our Craftsman drill and flashlight work when we need them. We have had no issues like some people have reported.
Marc is right on the money. A complete overnight charge is no longer sufficient to get a half-dozen half-inch holes through a two-by-four. (When it was new, it was much better although you still had to have both batteries fully charged to get through a project.)Perhaps the $39.99 replacement battery is better than the $ 21.99 one? I assume the two supplied when the drill/light set was new were the low-capacity $ 21.99 variety. Two of the new ones would be eighty bucks, though.
Was give a light/drill combo from friend batteries were spent, bought 2 of these on sale and work like a charm.
this 14.4 battery takes a 3 hour charger.and I have a 1 hour charger and doesnt fit .Nothing on here says anything about this..back to the pickup store I guess. looked good for a while
I bought a good drill from Sears several years ago. It needs a new 14.4 battery but this battery does not work or match up. When ordering, the Sears representative could not tell me if this battery matched. I bought it and returned it; at time and travel cost to me. The proper battery does not exist. Is Sears doing this, so that the consumer is forced to throw away good tools in order to buy new ones? The only reason that I give any stars at all, is that the return of the poor item was simple.

These batteries are an excellent deal. They use NiCds because NiMH cant handle temperature variances and dont hold the same amount of charge. If these packs get too depleted, your charge may not accept them as good. Google on hold to jump start them with a seed charge before tossing them as bad. Worked for me.

some morron over at the sears/ craftman marketing department allowed the 14.4V batteries to not be interchangable with all the 14.4V batteries. The indent at the end of the exchange is on the other side for some of the batteries. The part works great, but you need to know which 14.4V you have.

Compared to other replacement battery replacements this one is just a little to spendy for me, even though I went ahead and purchased one because I like the drill. For the cost of the replacement battery you can pay for more that half of a new drill, so after thinking about it some more, I won't do this again.

I've had my 14.4 battery and light combo for a few years now and this is the first time I"ve had to replace the battery. The old one's were left outside over the winter and are ruined. They worked very well for me.

The Craftsman 14.4 volt batteries are great. I just bought the first replacement battery after 9 years with my other one. They are durable and offer plenty of power and time of use.

The non-Diehard batteries are not worth buying. They don't last long, don't hold a charge long.
Battery last only for a few minutes when fully charged. Battery completly drains on its own in a week. Poor capacity. Recommend a higher voltage or bigger capacity battery. Unfortunately my 11333 drill does not take them. If you already own that drill go out and by a new corded drill for the cost of this battery.
