Tough and strong drill-driver

Pros: I really like this little drill/driver. I use it almost every week for anything from tightening screws to heavy duty drilling 1" holes. Compared to my old Black and Decker, this is like night and day. The batteries last really long and it is much stronger than my 19 V driver (from a cheaper manufacturer). The light that comes on during operation is a nice touch which I now can't live without. I have 3 batteries at this point, but honestly only need one, because the charger is fast and the battery last long. The driver feels good in the hand and is nicely balanced and small. Cons: When pushing hard on the unit (for example to tighten a difficult screw), it is easy to push the gear selector from low to high during operation by accident, which I would guess could harm the gears. The quick-chuck is not working as well anymore after 2 years of usage. Sometimes have to turn almost a full turn until is holds against me and allows me to tighten the chuck.

great for literally a minute

I charged the battery and drilled one 1/8" hole in a 2x4 and the drill just stopped. The led light was blinking but the drill would do nothing. I shook it and it started working again...until I tilted it to drill another hole. I managed to get 10 holes drilled and screwed in 10 screws. I put the battery back on the charger to top it off and the light on the charger was solid green meaning that the battery was fully charged. I can't exchange it because I got the last one the store had. Too bad. I was really excited to find this drill for $50.

Great Light-weight Drill

|

Great drill that is light weight and powerful for the size. The batteries are light and can be used in other tools made by Craftsman.

Nice drill

|

Handy little drill is lightweight but has enough power to do most tasks that you need to do. When doing a job, set up a couple of these with different bits and use the driver also.

Great even for Commercial

|

I am a in Home Service tech and I charge this only once every week. I use it all day long and it still holds a charge for over a year now! Also bought more attachments and they have all worked out very well.

Great little drill

I use this drill for almost every task around the house. So much easier to use than the larger drills and plenty of power to do almost every job.

Craftsman Drill

|

My husband always used Craftsman in the past, always trusted Craftsman so buying a cordless drill was the best gift for him. He has plenty of use for it every day.

Nice cordless drill

|

Bought this for my daughter who is quite good with tools. Weight and size are good for her. Less powerful than a corded drill or larger/heavier cordless drill. But more than adequate for the first task she tried: drilling through some aluminum tubing.

17586 Nextec Lithium-Ion Still Driver

|

This drill packs a lot of punch for a 12V drill, and is able to handle tougher jobs like masonry screw's and lag bolts.  If you have any nextec tools, this one is a no brainer to add to your tool collection.  Highly recommended as a drill for small jobs around the house!

The drill is great but the best part is I have all 12v. products including the heated jacket so every thing goes together.

Great value!

|

This drill is an excellent value because it is one of the only compact drills that you can purchase for half the actual cost of the kit. Often times you must purchase a drill or the impact driver in order to get a discounted price for both. Not in this case though both items sold separately make up half the cost of a combo kit.

Good Drill

|

I like this drill a lot. It is light weight and easy to handle. I had a Sears Repairman come out to my home for repairs on an icemaker for my refrigerator and I noticed he was using this the Nextec 12.0V Drill and I asked him about it and he said he liked it very well (lots of power for a small battery)
