This ISN'T a 19-24V drill so don't expect it to work like one. It's a very compact LIGHT 12V for average use. It's been great so far for automotive work and grinding/polishing. I DID buy the extended warranty as the clutch makes a lot of noise when you just drop the trigger. They all do it so it may be fine but 9 bucks for 2 additional years is cheap insurance. Yes, you can see the brush sparks..... as you can on my Milwaukee and many other drills. None of them is rated for enclosed explosive spaces. The battery charges fast and discharges slowly. I was amazed at it's "staying power" for such a small battery. It's li-ion so it doesn't slow down before it dies it just dies which I like. When using it for polishing and grinding, I don't want the torque to start slowly dropping off.
It's a handy tool when it's functioning. Feels good in the hand, lightweight, & has decent power. I've had it about a year. It never sees hard use, just lightweight around the house use. The problem is that it started to smoke the other day, a very light scent. The following day smoke started pouring out of it, then it stopped functioning. The day after that it was functioning again because it had cooled off. The troublesome thing is that I was driving small machine screws at the first clutch setting, & only for a couple of minutes total, so there wasn't any kind of strain going on. Over the 3 days it was in operation for between 3 & 4 minutes total. I doubt it's going to last much longer. Doing some research on the 'net, it seems that the electric motor burning out is a common issue. Now I'm torn between buying another one, or just spending twice as much to get another brand that will last.
Small enough to get into those tight places that the larger drivers can't. Since the battery fits in the handle you don't have the bulk on the bottom of the handle. There is plenty of power for anything you need to do around the house and it's light and easy to grip. The only thing I was disappointed in was the online description. The video attached to it told you that two batteries and a case come with it but the written information said one battery and a case. There is one battery and no case. When I picked it up and the store verified the description, they gave me a sort tool bag for it.
Illuminated led light is a great feature too.
This is by far the best and hardest working drill driver you can own
Have had it a while, and almost always pick up this drill than my 18v milwalkee, unless am needing to drill a 1/2in whole thru a rack of landscaping timbers. But for most jobs the power is there, it's light and comfortable and easy to handle. Made in China but the build quality seems there. Tke light is a big help. Only thing that kept off the fifth star is it doesn't have a storage spot for a flat and Phillips combo bit that comes in handy so often; no biggee, just keep a double bit stored in the chuck. Light-weight, variable, fits my hand perfectly, the led light, the two speed gearbox...the drill is a pleasure to use if not fun to use.
Light weight but does a heavy weight job. Great for small jobs around the house for an old man such as me at 89 years.
Perfect for lady hand not to heavy just right glad i got them yes it worth it
Needed a small easy to use cordless screw driver for small jobs. Have a big one for big jobs. Very user friendly, plenty of power and battery lasts forever. LED work light is helpful in dark corners, under sinks, Etc.
Plenty of power for all house home chores, lightweight good for continuous use. The battery seems to last a long time.
Drill has excellent power for its size. However, this is my fourth drill. I love the drill, but the speed control never seems to last much past warranty and sometime not even that. Since I keep buying it, you know I love the power, weight, feel...it would be 5 stars if it was a little more durable.
Size allows usage in confined locations, two-speed gearbox permits versatility that is not found in most of the larger, bulkier drill designs. Battery charges in 30 min.
bought this to replace a 18v B&D stupid drill. like that I can use my battery from the impact I bought several years ago, which makes it handy can use this to drill and impact to put screws in with out changing bits all the time
Cannot say how many times I bring out this drill. Battery last long enough to complete the work. Powerful enough to handle most jobs. I have had mine for 2 years now and still going strong. Charger charges fast.
I was pleasantly surprised!! This nextex drill/driver is small and easy to handle but is powerful enough to do the job. I bought it to use for installation of new light fixtures ad it's great!! I have used it for several other jobs and it continues to surprise me with it's power.
I have used this drill for over 5 years and it has performed flawlessly. It is a perfect size in your hand, and has plenty of power to drive screws or drill. You will not be disappointed in this drill as I have recommended it to many friends and they all agree.
I have used these craftsman drills for years. Needed another for a Spair. Would recommend them highly.
Works great. It's just the right size for tight spots and does a good job at most others
this is a great tool for around the shop
compact and good battery life
