This lawn mower is a monster, very heavy, but powerful, hard to maneuver around plants and trees because of it's weight. Good lawn mower, but will give you a work out.

Great mower

This is a great mower for the price however it is a little fast for me but I'm getting more used to it I would gladly recommend this mower to someone I use this a more of a commercial use it's nice and quite to the blade control is a nice touch also

great mower other than bag

<p>LOVE the lawn mower! started up great,and cuts amazing! the blade controle is realy nice to have. the only problem is the bagger. if you want a lawnmower because of the &quot;dust lock controle&quot; dont! it works like crap! i think it is eaven worse than my old one.</p> <p>other than that nice lawn mower!</p>

Great Mower

This mower starts on the first pull every time. It has plenty of power for damp grass and thick grass. The blade stop feature is not needed, but is fun to use and means less pull starting. The transmission for the rear wheel drive is fast, almost too fast. I usually half pull the bar, not sure if thats bad for the gears or not. It is a heavier mower, so if the self propelled feature ever goes out it'll be a pain to push for a bigger yard. Never had any problems filling the bag with grass using the stock blade. The motor is no louder than any other mower. The majority of the sound is the blade spinning.

got it days ago,was in and out at sears pickup loaded,done 10 min.mowers speed is fast,good workout,cuts/starts great, like the blade stop option,i got st. aug,,had no trouble

ok for the money

<p>Mower was great until the bag filled then would stall.  There does seen to be a problem with mulching if grass is slightly wet. bagging seems to be the better way to go with this one and the blade stop is a nice feature.  you just need to make sure to keep up with the grass and don't let it get too long.  I really liked the fact that its rear wheel drive.  it took the sloops in my yard like a champ.  All in all for the price its not bad.</p>

Pleasantly surprised

<p>Nice lawnmower. Started with first tug. The grass catcher bag is kind of weird the way it comes out of the box. You have to clip the edges together. I don't know how those will hold up over the life of the machine, but we will see. This is a relatively quiet mower. There is a blade clutch, which I didn't think was necessary. You have to engage the blade to cut the grass, an extra step I think is kind of a strange feature. Anyway, I used it for the first time today and it worked great. I will try to remember to do an update on this after some use. I find it difficult to get an accurate reading of the oil level. After the oil gets a little dirty, it should be easier to read.</p>

Excellent mower for the price.

<p>I just purchased this lawn mower this week and have only used it once.  Major purpose is to mow the ditch in front of my house, as it is too steep and narrow for my lawn tractor.</p> <p>Added the oil (enclosed in the box), added gas and it started on the first pull.  Cut the ditch very well, with only a very slight reduction in blade speed when going through the tall grass, but nothing I am concerned about.</p> <p>I stopped the mower to do something else and 30 minutes later it restarted on the first pull again.  I later stopped the mower to finish the lawn with the tractor and about 1 hour later, I restarted the mower again on the first pull.</p> <p>Great starting.  Very good power and torque.  Very good cut (mulching).  The only slight negative is that the rear wheel drive is very fast ... you almost have to run if you fully engage the drive handle, so you have to feather the drive handle to get a suitable speed.</p> <p>At this very early point, I would not hesitate to recommend this lawn mower. </p>

Craftsman 190cc is powerful, but heavy

<p>&lt;span&gt;I bought this new gas powered mower to replace a battery mower that just wasn't 'cutting it' in our Florida rainy season. This certainly does the job well, powering thru the highest grass but does its issues: 1) one speed self-propelled is too fast even at slowest engine speed; 2) weight at 90+# makes this a bear if you need to cut in around things; 3) one/two pull start is great when cold, but often requires more pulls when engine is hot; 4) &quot;stop blade&quot; feature is very helpful. All in All: an average-to-good mower at an average price.&lt;/span&gt;</p>

Awful Experience

I purchased this lawnmower and have returned it twice. Same issue both times, the throttle will not shut down the mower. I have had to pack this into my car and drive it to Sears twice. They would charge me $110 to have someone come look at it at my house. Good customer service would be to send someone out for free since I have dealt with this twice and have been extremely inconvenienced. I do not plan on shopping at Sears Lawn &amp; Garden again.

Fast and efficient.

Starts easily, and cuts cleanly. At first it felt like I was running after it, but now it is a comfortable pace and the lawn is cut quickly. Love it.
