A Great Lawn Mower

After 15 years, my old Craftsman has seen better days. I naturally went to Sears to buy a new one and decided on this particular model. Perhaps the best part is the engine which starts quickly and has plenty of power. My lawn look great! Very good product at a great price! I expect it to last for as many or more years!

sears does not stand behind Zero not an option

lawnmower worked the first time them began running erratic called sears. there solution was to bring it to them 150 miles round trip leave it and come back at a later time . they would rebuild the carb maybe at my cost. used 1 time I have to drive 300 plus mile and maybe pay for repairs. cheaper to buy another one somewhere else which I will do done with sears there washers are junk also.

Good push mower

I've used this type/style mower for years and like the large rear wheels. I would have given this a 5 star review, but the wheels on the mower are a little smaller and don't roll as well as the previous models I've had do.

Paint problem

Used it twice and all of the paint started peeling from the bottom of the deck. You know what comes next? RUST.

Great Mower

Compared to my previous yardsale mower this mower it light years ahead. The mower is about 2 times more powerful and the options for mulch, side discharge and bagging is a big plus. the only hard thing is using the hose adapter. It is hard to keep the mower running, hook up the water and then turning on the water all at once.

Plastic....

Be aware the usual wear items are now made of plastic. Buy a mower that has more metal part. For example the wheel level adjustments on this mower are plastic. They need to be metal. For the price is should last a year or so...

Plenty of Power

Easy Start, 2nd pull Average, Quite, and Steady power under load, Manuvers easily, & well ballanced, .. Looks Good, Easy to put together, Only reason not a 5 starr was there is lots of plastic, & the steel deck is a bit thin..

Lawn mower purchase

I had purchased this lawnmower in hopes of just using it for a year or two while I saved up money for a riding mower. I have never used a push mower befor an figured it would be a lot of work to get all my lawn mowed. I have changed my mind. This mower is way easier to use than I thought and it doesn't take as long as I thought it would to mow. I think I will continue to use it until it croaks and save my money to get other things I will need later.

Love That Mower

This mower is lightweight, easy starting , and has plenty of power, The inclusion of both side and rear discharge is an excellent feature. The cutting height adjustment using one adjusting arm for both front or back wheels is a good idea and the adjusting arm is very easy to move.

Buy at your own risk

My 6-year old Craftman lawnmower quit last year and only because a large box broke the hard plastic gas tank feeder tube. I thought it would be a good idea to go to Sears and get another model.
Well, it failed after two weeks and I had to put in the shop. They changed the carburetor. Luckily, I had a warranty but it was a two-week wait and my Homeowner's Association is not so patient about you not cutting your lawn weekly.
It came back and worked fine the rest of the year. I used it for around 5 or 6 cuttings then Winter came.
Fast forward to this year and I put fresh gas and oil in it. I got two cuttings out of it and now I am going to have to put it in the shop again. I just don't think this new-fangled automatic choke is dependable.
You can learn from me or buy one at your own risk. Good Luck.
