Craftsman 25cc gas blower is the BEST

This Craftsman blower is the best!  It is very Powerful and moves stuff with a pull of the trigger!  I have never had any problems starting this craftsman blower.  I thought I would only use it a few times a year but I was wrong I use it everytime I do yardwork.  Its great for the grass clipping on the sidewalk.  I love it so much I would (If I could) dust my inside with it.  NO CONS from me!

Craftsman Gas Blower

Purchased the blower 7179477 Feb. 18 2012. Today is June 23 2012 and the re-coil is broken. I used the blower maybe 20-25 times during this time. I also purchased the extended warranty because the salesman told me that no matter what happened to the unit I could bring it in and get a replacement free of charge. When I took the blower back they told me that they have to send it out to the repair center and if it's not cost efficient they will replace it, if not it will be repaired in a couple weeks. I have purchased numerous Sears/Craftsman products, but after the service I received tonight I will never walk into a Sears store again.

Shut off switch doesn't work

Blower is easy to assemble and starts great. I have only used it three times. The first time was great, but next two times I had trouble getting the shut off switch to work. I will be returning this item, hopefully to exchange for one that works properly.

Nice Blower

I bought one of these in the Summer of 2010 to replace an older Craftsman blower/vac. It still runs great in 2014. I replaced the spark plug last year and used an E3 plug instead of a Champion. It start easy and runs better then the original Champion plug. It still runs great. I have not tried the Vac feature. In my opinion, based on my previous Craftsman blower/vac, this shortens the life of the blower.

Great Power

Would have given it 5 stars, but was a bit hard to start the second time I ran it. The fuel bulb was not filling up with fuel. Ever since then, starts on the second-third pull. Used is to clear a large parking lot. Did a great job. Low vibration.

Also on a plus side. Was told that the blower would be received on a Thur. Bonus, it showed up that Tue. Easy to assemble.

This blower really blows

Have had absolutely no issues with this thing. Starts with a just a couple of pulls. It has plenty of power around the house. As with other Craftsman products, it is well built.

Nice design!

Easy to start. Works hard s you o not need to.
Good balance. Accessories are easy to install except the bag is a little onerous and I don't like this feature. The vacuum feature works well.
I would buy another one and recommend these to friends if they ask my opinion.

Good blower/Vac

This is a great tool. Very easy to start. I used the vac right away to remove leaves from around my fence and in my window wells. Powerful suction and picked up everything but the stones. The bag and curved tube are not a tight seal so it gets to be pretty dusty and when half full the pieces start to blow out some. The blower function works really good. Remove grass and mulch with ease. The cruise control on it is very nice. Very pleased with this item.

Absolute junk! Anything is better!

While I am writing about a couple year old version of this (79745), this is basically Poulan **** that will quit after a couple of years! In spite of very little actual use, this will not start and will give you a heart attack trying!

Glad I got stuck with it.

I stated off buying a 4 cycle blower, which upon getting to the store to pickup found out it was an open box and missing parts so the manager worked me a deal for this unit. Right out of the box it started right up, but ran a little off, it had some debris stuck in the primer bulb which made it lose prime, after cleaning the bulb out it runs great and has more than enough power to blow 3/4 inch gravel around, I read the other reviews after I came home with this unit and got a little worried, but that went away after it fired off, and I am real happy with it after a simple bulb cleaning.

poor quality

After running for about 5 minutes the carburator cover and filter vibrated off the unit. Unit was difficult to restart after shutting off. Changed spark plug and runs better. Not a happy owner!

Great machine for the price !

Got it last September 2013 ran great for Michigan fall clean up. It even did double duty blowing off snow off my kids cars windows*lazy window scrapers* after the record snow winter here in Michigan started smoothly even at 0 degrees it ran like a champ. I'm a pretty picky old guy I don't buy **** tools. Not everything I own is Sears. But this one's a keeper

Overall a good tool

I actually have two of the same blower. I first purchased the 4 cycle blower but later returned it as everything else I use to do clean up and trim is 2 cycle. I use one as a blower and one as a vaccum. You can use just one but it is a pain to change over but can be done. I like the vaccum as it is powerful in pulling leaves from under and around the schrubs and plants. The bag is annoying at times as needs adjusting as you move around tight spots and it loads up and gets heavier. Maybe it would be better as a backpack if that is some how possible. As a blower it is powerful and small enough to get around tight spots. As a senior I found both to be somewhat stessful on the back as you bend and stetch to get in small places or hold in place for periods of time. Maybe some type of strap to help support he blower and not just the bag. Overall I like the Craftsman 25cc 2 cycle Gas Blower/Vac.

Purchased yesterday and first of all it would not start. Took over 30 minutes to start. Then i would clog w/ any size leaves. Once i turned off to empty bag it would not start. I got out the rake instead and finished quicker then messing w/ this POS. I will but a ECHO next time, and I am returning this one today. Do Not recommend this.

Easy to start

In forty years of using two-stroke powered hand held yard equipment (saws, trimmers, blowers, etc) this blower is the easiest to start of anything I've used and that's saying something. No more than three pulls cold and one pull hot. I can't believe how easy it starts. The blower has good power (it will push a brick on concrete) and is not too noisy. The vac works OK and mulches well but seems a little awkward to use, at least for me. I had to only give it only four stars because it is a little on the heavy side, about two pounds more than a lot of others, but I can live with that. This blower is not cheap and in fact an entry level Stihl blower is about the same price but comes with no vac and has less power. But no hand held blower could start and run better than this one at any price.

Power to spare

I use it primarily as a Vac. It works great for picking up leaves out of the mulch and if your'e careful it will not take the mulch. I also use it in my garage and drive way to pick up that little bit of grass and stuff after mowing. I use the blower function for clearing gutters around my pool through the screen. Power - Power - Power.

If you buy something and it has a 2year guarantee and you buy the extra guarantee for 3 years would that be a 5 year guarantee? I was told that!!

Brian Schneider
No. The 2 years that come with the blower is a limited manufacturer warranty. The 3 year protection agreement starts from the date of purchase and covers far more than the manufacturer's warranty. Example - ethanol damage is not covered by manufacturer's warranty but is covered by the 3 year repair protection plan.
