Craftsman 25cc gas blower is the BEST

This Craftsman blower is the best!  It is very Powerful and moves stuff with a pull of the trigger!  I have never had any problems starting this craftsman blower.  I thought I would only use it a few times a year but I was wrong I use it everytime I do yardwork.  Its great for the grass clipping on the sidewalk.  I love it so much I would (If I could) dust my inside with it.  NO CONS from me!

Not worth the time

I recently retired a 15 yr old 2-cycle Craftsman leaf blower as it was becoming less effective. The purchase of the new one should have been uncomplicated. Very disappointed in the operation of the unit and the steps to get it to get it repaired. The unit performed flawlessly for 2 months of weekly operation (30 minutes/wk for 8 wks = 4 hours total run time). The unit was diagnosed with a mechanical breakdown in the flywheel assembly. Upon redelivery, the unit failed to start upon its very first attempt. Technicians believe there is an oil/gas ratio issue that I have disputed and they will not honor warranty. The unit was filled with the same gasoline mixture as when it was first purchased. This is the same mixture (oil supplied in the box) that has run in the blower from purchase date until the moment it failed to start. What surprised me was the clerk who took it back for the 2nd time repair was not surprised at all. I would not recommend this product.

Works Good Until You Need A Warm Restart

When the unit is cold the start up procedure works, i.e. the unit starts. If I turn it off and within 1-2 minutes try a restart it will start. After that a restart is impossible and I have to wait until the unit completely cools down (I give up after 30 pulls). Of course this is all my fault because I didn't mix the fuel right or haven't performed the routine maintenance - durrr, the unit is brand new and filled with Sears fuel.
Sears (Craftsmen) reliability has gone down the tube, their competitors are happy.

These are really nice blowers!

I have owned my blower for only about a month but I am really enjoying it. Right out of the box it was simple to assemble and understand. They even provide starting instructions near the pull handle to help start it. The gas cap has 40:1 on it so be sure to use the specified 40:1 fuel/oil mixture ratio to run it. After holding it a few minutes my wrist could feel the weight of it and I wondered if I should have bought a backpack blower instead. The cruise control helped to relieve my wrist and I simply switched hands as I operated it. I decided to use the Craftsman 40:1 premixed fuel Sears sells in the lawn and garden department because it contains no ethanol. It starts up really easy every time and does a really good job.

This is the beginning of the third year for this blower with a total of maybe 16 hours of use. The Ignition module (coil) is not working--no spark. To replace the coil it will cost close to $60.00 w/shipping and me do the work. Sears/Craftsman should be ashamed of themselves for selling this ****!!! Don't buy it....

beware of product and warranty

blower would not start after three hours of light use - took in for warranty repair - manufacturer would not honor warranty saying improper fuel mixture caused compression failure - used 40 to 1 mix from same gas can for my craftsman weedeater - poor product and poor warranty from manufacturer

I bought same model previously a few years ago. Previous purchase seemed to have greater velocity and two speeds also.
Be sure gas/oil mixture is just right or you will have a very difficult time starting.

Excellent product

I bought this for my husband who for some odd reason loves to blow the leaves and debris from our yard daily. He had an electric blower but was not happy with having to drag the cord around. This was easy to assemble and he has only remarked positively about it's performance. Great price for the product!

Reliable and useable

I have owned three electric blowers over the years, all worked well but broke under regular conditions. I always considered a gas blower but was reluctant. I am now convinced purchasing this blower was the absolute correct decision. I use if far more often since I don't have to mess with an extension cord. It starts consistently, isn't too heavy, functions as a vacuum too and is very powerful. I will never go back to electric.

Caution , do not buy

Service center did not honor warranty , because it had a different compatible sparkplug, so I got 3 months of use and now its useless because they will not honor the warranty even though it had nothing to do with the sparkplug, do not buy

Don't waste your money

Quit after 10 months of light use. Sears repair center said the scored cylinder was a maintenance issue and wasn't covered under the "full 2 year warranty", and wanted $100 to repair it. Never used any gas except the expensive premixed gas bought at Sears. Cleaned the air filter every time I used it instead of the required every 5 hours. Not worth 50 cents. I have a 25 year old Mantis tiller, an 18 year old Weed Eater, and a 12 year old ********** weedcutter that all still work fine. The Craftsman name no longer means what it once did. Will never buy anything else with Sears, or Craftsman on it

If you Enjoy a workout, try to get this thing started

I have to say, I am very frustrated with this leaf blower.
In summertime, it seems to be able to start, but when winter comes, it's either the colder weather or the humidity, but this leaf blower simply will not start when all the procedures have been performed. But that's the difficulty in diagnosing, cause I've had it NOT start in summertime as well.
It seems to have a mind of it's own.
Being very familiar with 2 and 4 stroke engines, I have done everything to troubleshoot this thing and get it to start. Making fuel is mixed exactly to spec, proper cleaning and maintenance of the air filter, making sure the tank is devoid of any kind of dust or debris to clog the fuel filter, checking the fuel filter, checking the plug (When it's ran, the plug is powdery brown, right where you want it, when it won't start, it's moist, and clearly it's getting fuel, I've done everything possible. In short: If it won't start within 5 pulls, give it up, you will be there all day, doing everything you can to start it.
I've attempted it so many times I get blisters on my fingers from the pull starter, from continues attempts. Now, I wear gloves when I attempt it, knowing I'm in for a fight.
After reading many of the same complaints I'm very convinced this is some kind of defect in this product. It's incredibly frustrating when you have a cleanup job, or maintenance, that is just perfect for something like this, and low and behold, it won't start.
I'm very done with this product and am requesting a refund from Sears, this is unacceptable in today's manufacturing and technology to have a product like this that is unusable when you need it.

great blower

This is my third blower (same model). All are powerful and work very well for a hand-held unit. I put one in each hand for leaves and create a vortex of leaves blowing where I want to send them...

Great buy

We purchased this blower/vac at the end of raking season. We have lots of big trees and the leaves take forever to rake. My yard has never looked so good. This device is lightweight, easy to use and was well priced.

Soso blower.

Once you got this blower started it seems to work pretty good. the problem is getting it started. One time you use it ,it will start in a reasonable amount of time. Then when you go to use it again it just doesn't want to fire up. Once you do get it started I'd say it works about average to just above average. Maybe it's just the one I got that's hard to start, I don't know. In any case if you do buy one maybe you'll have better luck with yours than I've had. Good luck.

No. The 2 years that come with the blower is a limited manufacturer warranty. The 3 year protection agreement starts from the date of purchase and covers far more than the manufacturer's warranty. Example - ethanol damage is not covered by manufacturer's warranty but is covered by the 3 year repair protection plan.

Did the cashier scan that coupon? If there are no exclusions, you usually see points being awarded to your account immediately.
