Good Value at 1/2 Price

It is rated at 30 lb per drawer, which it accomplishes. If you want a heavier box spend the extra money and get the one rated at 75 lb per drawer. It all depends on how heavy and how many tools you want to put in a drawer.

weak drawers

low price but too weak to hold hammers and other heavier tools

Tool Storage

|

I have had this with the chest that goes on top of it for 10 years. It still works like the day that it was bought for me as a gift.

Nice lightweight cabinet

|

It has a nice black finish and sturdy casters. However the sheet metal it is constructed from is quite light. I would not try to use this as my primary tool storage. I plan to use it for hobby storage of lighter weight items.

Perfect chest to store small powered hand tools and lock them up since it is in a shed outside.

Tool Chests

|

These tool chests are reasonably priced and good for light duty storage. I wouldn't recommend that they be used for daily heavy work. There is a minor weakness and that is the two stationary wheels. All four corners of the chest should have steerable casters. It would be worth a couple of extra dollars.

Unfortunately ... not up to typical Craftsman standards!

|

I bought this cabinet to store tools, but the drawers and metal construction are a bit too flimsy. It seemed like it would VERY easily dent from any impact, and the drawers were not sturdy. When opened they seemed like the hardly supported there own weight. I own MANY craftsman tools and am VERY satisfied. but in this case, the budget line of cabinets should be avoided (when returned, i learned there are three cabinet product lines for 3 price points, this one was understandably 'the bottom', i expect the higher end lines are much better). But ... even with all this said, this experience would NOT affect or influence my willingness to buy more craftsman tools in the future. As stated above, i have had very GOOD success with craftsman products overall.
