Good Value at 1/2 Price

It is rated at 30 lb per drawer, which it accomplishes. If you want a heavier box spend the extra money and get the one rated at 75 lb per drawer. It all depends on how heavy and how many tools you want to put in a drawer.

weak drawers

low price but too weak to hold hammers and other heavier tools

Craftsman 4 drawer toolbox

|

I was looking for just a basic tool box for at home for misc stuff. Fit the toolbox home and started assembly of the wheels. A couple of the nuts did not fit right to the bolts so I had to use my own. ( as a note I've been a mechanic for over 10 years and I'm a journeyman machinist). Once I fixed that drawers were not opening and closing properly and I noticed the tracks for the drawers on the box were flopping around. Due to the holes being to big for the rivets that were used. So I ended up fixing those. Really it you don't mind fixing brand new equipment this is the box for you. For for those looking for quality, get matco or snap on boxes. I have a big triple bay matco box ive have for over 10 years and never had 1 issue.

Good basic tool storage/organization.

|

I purchased this as an upgrade to my almost 30 year old Craftsman tool center- over the years I have purchased so many tools, that my old cabinet was overloaded.
I had no problems with missing parts, or damage, as some other people stated- but, just in case, I inspected them before leaving the store(which, by the way- the Sears associates had no problem with me doing that, and were very helpful and understanding).
As other reviewers have stated, these are NOT 'heavy duty' tool chests/cabinets! Notice that they are advertised as "Standard Duty". They do what they are designed to do- store and/or organize tools for the home mechanic/DIY'er at an economical price. Keep in mind the weight rating of the drawers- if you need 'heavy duty' tool chests/cabinets, Sears makes "Heavy Duty" versions- spend the extra money and get what you need- don't buy these and then complain. Duh!
Since these are NOT made in the USA, but yet still carry the Craftsman name, I cannot give a 5-star rating, nor can I "recommend to a friend".

Nice tool box

|

I have been searching for a while now for a toolbox for my husband. I found this one by accident and we both fell in love with it. Very sturdy and durable. I highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for one.

Good value

|

This box is perfect for the occasional user. It is strong enough to handle most uses but not over built. It functions as a more durable secondary cabinet and it replaced a weaker home center unit.

26 inch rolling caabinet

|

was just what I needed. I noticed you can spend a lot more, but for a do it your selfer that just wanted to organize this was perfect. I now have a home for all my tools, and I recommend lining the drawers with sears drawer liner, made it nicer.

Great addition to garage

|

I bought the 3 drawer topper to this cabinet first as it was a great buy as well. I'm still not sure I have room for this but when it went on sale I couldn't pass it up. It's not as heavy duty as some of the more expensive units but it will do a great job of helping organize all my tools

super great deal

|

I was in the store, checking on hand tools and saw this roller tool cabinet. Just what I needed to place all my power tools in. very strong construction with hard black paint. Great item in go in the garage storage corner. get it home- love the 4 drawers. easy to slide out and when loaded still easy to slide. No problem with wheel assembly, took about 30 minutes from start to placing my tool chest on top and roller her in place. Done, outstanding product.

Finally a place for my tools

|

I finally have a garage to use for my bikes (MC) and have collected both English and Metric tools. I replaced multiple tool boxes with this and a 6 drawer top box. Finished nice and good wheels. Plenty of room and lock too. Overall, very pleased.

great value for the money

|

I awas able to score this box at a really good deal. I have some other craftsman tool chests such as the heavy duty version. While the heavy duty version is a bit nicer, I couldn't pass up the deal on what I paid for this one.
I wish craftsman would get rid of their current locking system that the stand tools chests currently use. Removing thand replacing the locking bar attachment can become quite annoying for anyone who keeps their box locked.

Sliders are cheap, but so was the price

|

I would spend more money on a heavy-duty cabinet, they better sliders are worth it. I wish I could have in this case, but I was height limited, and these standard duty cabinets were the only ones that fit the height available. I have a one heavy-duty cabinet, and the difference is night and day versus these. These, if you pull the drawer in the middle of the handle, its OK, but otherwise it binds. They are ball bearing, but the metal is a much lower grade on the sliders, and they just are not as stiff. So it is NOT just the total drawer weight (std. vs. heavy-duty) but also the ease of pulling the drawer from any position on the handle. If you have the space, spend the additional money on a 4-600 lbs. model.
