Good Storage, Better Value

I am very pleased with this toolbox. I have a much older one similar to this one, but the top section has 4 drawers. The ball bearings are a great improvement when you start getting heavier drawers. For the price, I was a little bit cautious, in fear of the toolbox being weak or flimsy, but I am glad I was wrong. It seems well built, but only time will tell. For my use, this toolbox was a great addition to the one toolbox that was getting over full and becoming a mess. I am a heavy do it yourselfer and have many tools to do quite a range of jobs. I don't believe in buying $1000 toolboxes just to have some monster of a chest to dig through. With 2 average size toolboxes and some shelves, I have more than enough room. Now that I bought a second toolbox, I can be a little more organized and add even more tools. All in all, I feel that this was a good buy, and if you are just a homeowner who has a basic set of tools, this will serve you well. For a mechanic, it serves me well, but it is all about your preference. If you are going to be slamming drawers carelessly like some, maybe you should be looking for something a bit more heavy duty. If you take care of your stuff like I do, this should work well.

Ball-Bearings ****

Bought this item, when I got it home and partly assembled, I discovered the roller bottom drawer slides had lost the Ball Bearings. The parts were there, but I couldn't repair my new tool box. The box I received looked OK, but the tool box had small dents, the top was stored in the bottom section. Bolted in and one of those was damaged also. Returned the cheaply made item.

You Get What You Pay For

I had never owned a tool cabinet before and was in need of something to organize my tools better than a tool bag I had been using. I didn't have a ton to spend so I with this Craftsman 5 Drawer Tool Center. It gave me an entry level tool chest, which for the price isn't bad, but it is not great either.

It feels very flimsy, especially the door on the lower compartment. The Drawers are weighted for 25 lbs, and I have a 20 lbs socket set in one and I am always a little worried it is going to collapse on me, but it hasn't to date.

I think for entry level organization it is a decent buy, however nothing to write home about. So I give it an average rating, I wasn't blown away by it, but for the price it isn't bad.

I would recommend it to a friend, but I would explain that it is a entry level light duty tool chest.

Great for home DIY

I read all reviews before purchasing. It fit the bill, and was on sale for a great price. I did not like that I had to pick up at the Sears outlet, as it is VERY heavy. Had to give to hubby as an early Xmas gift, since I could not lift out of the car.....However, do by the upgrade with the rollers on the drawers. So glad I did, based on the reviews!

Great product for the price!

Great tool storage!

I bought this for my husband's birthday and he loves it. The set up was very easy and the chest is sturdy. The only thing we added were some non slip padding so the tools wouldn't slide around the drawers. I would definitely recommend this chest!

Not A Bad Box

FoR The Money I Paid I'm Not Complaining At All. Its Serves The Purpose I Needed It For The Drawers Are Not Bad, They Slide Easily Enough. But I Greased Them Up As A Precaution.
My Only Issue Is That The Top Box Didnt Have Any Handles And I Had To Fab In My Own . Other Than That It Was A Great Buy.

A great toolbox at a great price!

For the price, this Craftsman toolbox is hard to beat. I am really excited about the large storage area on the bottom. It is a great compliment to all my other Craftsman toolboxes.

Already broken before assembled

Apparently I am not the only one who has come across the problem of this product having dents in it when it was just taken out of the box, along with ball bearings laying in the drawers. This box should not wear the Craftsman name on it. I just needed a tool chest on a budget for my job and buying this was a bad idea. I should've grabbed a tool chest of another brand. I remember when Craftsman was stamped with USA on it, made to the highest of quality, and would last forever. Anymore a 10 year old kid could've fabricated and built a better box. I would not buy this or wish this product on my worst enemy. I work in the automotive restoration business and I doubt this box will last a year... fortunately I was able to fix the ball bearing issue seeing I had some well made Husky and Pittsburgh tools laying around the house

Great tool chest at a great price

It only took a few minutes to put the casters on and the chest was ready to go.

Great Tool Chest

Exactly what my son needed! This ended up being a great gift for my son, who needed his own tools at his place of business.

Could have bought in store for less money than online purchase.

Easy to assemble, fits more tools than I had anticipated, drawer slide action is mediocre and one of the drawers in the upper unit doesn't align perfectly.

Sticky drawers

Half the drawers don't close correctly on this set. For the price, really can't complain though, this has good storage space for my use. I would recommend buying some mats for the bottom of the drawers.

Lots of storage for the price

A little flimsy but good for a home toolbox. Drawer liners are a must when you use this toolbox. It's also a good size for they typical home user.

Poorly made product

When I got this package home and opened the box, one of the corners of the main storage unit that the caster wheel went on was bent, and there were scratvhes and dent all over. When I took the tool box out of the cabinet, it was so warped that you could not even get the drawers open. I am not too sure how it was shipped, but it must have fallen off the truck. If you buy this tool center, and is not damaged, it would be a great buy. In my opinion, spend a little more and get the heavy duty tool center.

Flexible tool box

The cost was only slightly over $100, so the poor craftmanship is expected. You get what you pay for.
