Excellent Product

Per previous warning about the blade not clamping into saw I took the care to make sure it inserted correctly. The clamping is different as it twist around but was not difficult to get blade in. It was used to trim some branches before the cold settled in for the Season and worked very nicely. Very well made and seems to have the quality Sears is so well known for.

not so happy

i bought this saw the other day and the first time i used it the blade keep coming out while i was working. i'm hoping that i just got one with a part missing in the blade holder. i at this time would not recomend any saw with this quick blade canger. i'm taking it back and may or may not get another from craftsman. i'll be checking the blade holder befor i leave the store. i usally am very happy with my craftsman purcase. we'll have to see if their other reciprocating saws have the same problem.

Get some pruning blades and make quick work of the shrubbery.

Good light to medium duty saw, the included blade is rather wimpy, but you should buy quality blades anyway. Great price!

absolute trash!

Junk. hardly works for what it is intended. lasts just past the warranty end. I can not believe how far down hill craftsman has gone. this saw is made in china under the name craftsman. not a true craftsman. Wish i could get my money back.. when i bought this saw it came with a 2 year warranty. now it is one year parts (90 days to return it) THAT IS SOME RIDICULES standards for craftsman which used to actually stand behind it's products. I for one have realized that craftsman is nothing more then a name and quality is NOT important.. I will no longer be buying craftsman for ANY tools

Good Saw

This is a great saw for the price and I have no complaints, the light is nice and helpful though the cord could be longer. It looks good and I think it is a good price.

My handyman is very pleased.

The saw made the job of constructing a closet from a kit much easier. He completed the task in about half the time it would have taken to use a circular saw. I am happy because there was so little saw dust.

Good tool great price

Has cut thru what we need it to around the house. Lighter than the old one we had and seems stronger. Was a good all around deal. Would recommend .

Craftsman

As usual Craftsman comes through! This is light-weight and powerful. It would be nice if it had a switch as the "on" button is awkward.

You can cut a car in two!

Better for me because the rechargeable ones run down so quickly.

Good workhorse unit

This works far better than the battery powered unit it replaced. Since I am not a mechanic this is only used a few times a year. The battery was always running out of power midway through a project. This works great

Saw it

Had a cheap off brand saw that fell apart with some use. This one is made much better, I expect to have it around for awhile.

Good medium grade saw

I was pleasantly surprised by the power and ease of use of this saw. When you keep the base plate firmly against your project there is no issue with blade coming loose. Overall satisfied with saw for the price purchased.
