Great Frame

If you get this with the accesories, do not tighten the bolts on the workbench. I got the full set up and had to put in and take out the same bolts over and over. This bench is great. If you get it with the drawers and top, it will be solidly stuck to the ground. No shaking on this bench. Good buy. My advice is to wait for it to go on sale. Solid Craftsman Workbench

I bought this with the stainless top on sale & am very impressed with both. I love the height it stands at. Very solid base & looks great in red matching my other Craftsman products in the garage.

Assembly is fairly sraight forward. Poor directions or not, there are only 5 pieces to assemble (plus the top) so don't let the reviews scare you! I goes together in about an hour or two.

I also added the 3-Shelf Module (Model# 14941) with the highly suggested Door Kit (Model# 14953) a short time later & very happy with it. My next upgrade will be the 5-Drawer (Model# 10133)

Great start to a versatile workbench/work station

Well-packaged; product arrived undamaged. Installation was a bit time consuming, but not overly so. It would be nice if the directions mentioned the add-ons like the 5 drawer module; these would be easiest to install at the time of assembly. My instructions were actually for the one that includes the mdf top; while it's the same frame it makes the assumption the top is included with your frame. There was actually extra hardware in the package (had to triple check that to make sure I wasn't overlooking something obvious!) and assembly was uneventful. A screwdriver tip in a cordless drill and sockets will speed up the assembly process, but be careful over-torquing fasteners (from what I've read - I had no problems.) All in all, an atrractive and sturdy work station; I used the butcher block top and have since added a 5 drawer storage module (see separate review.) I do still wish they sold touch up paint for the red areas, though...

Craftsman workbench frame is solid and profesional.

If you are looking at craftsman workbenches, think modular. After looking at the different models available I settled on building my own bench through the modular system. The red paint is sharp and matches the rest of the shop (craftsman) very well. Assembly was a snap and I was able to do it fine by myself in about 20min. I experience no problems with the hardware and had plenty of extra. I was very impressed with the packing. Everything was wrapped and protected well. No damaged parts or scratches here. I toped this off with the stainless steel top and it is rock solid. I tested it out without securing the top and between this frame and the weight of the stainless it wasn't moving at all. The adjustable feet work very well and have a wide range of motion. I have an older garage and previous benches had to be shimmed to avoid wobble. This bench sits great and doesn't shake in the least bit. Like some other craftsman products the price seems a bit steep for just a metal frame. But consider that you will have this for a long time and it's not so bad. Grab it on sale and it's even better. I highly recommend this frame and then top it with stainless and throw in a craftsman hydraulic stool. You will not be disappointed. Hope to add the back wall soon!

Nice stable frame

This workbench frame provides a nice stable platform for top of your choice. I used the bamboo top.

The adjustable feet provide a big range to level it out side to side as well as front to back.

The red paint looks nice and seems to be durable so far.

During my initial assembly I was wishing for some sort of angled cross bracing between the sides and middle section. After I finished, I no longer felt like it would be necessary.

It is higher than other workbenches. It's a good standing height. It also works well with a high stool.

Assembly is a one-person job for the most part, but it helped to have someone hold the sides up with getting the bolts started.

Reviews of similar benches mentioned hardware breaking issues. I had no problems. Interestingly mine came with probably double everything needed. Apparently the solution to the possibility of bolts breaking was to put many extra of each in the pack.
