Does what it needs to do

I have only used a huge one before but I wanted something for home! I am a small girl who loves to build furniture and so far I have built a huge farmhouse coffee table, several small trunks, shot on some trim work, put together some outside signs, and other small projects! It works great for me!

Worked good....... At first

I got this for my husband for christmas. He had been wanting one and a small one would be perfect for his needs (airing tires, bikes, balls and the brad nailer). At first it seemed GREAT. But within a 2 months we noticed a problem. The pressure it built was less and less and would take longer to build up even the smallest amount of pressure. We figured it was a glitch. And we took it back got a replacement with NO problems. and it worked great for awhile. Yet again it won't work. Builds a small amount of pressure up and takes a long time to even do that. We are taking this back again. Either for our money or a credit if possible. Two different ones and both the same exact problem. Don't waste your money.

I have to go with the others...

|

Bought this about a year ago to run my airbrushes. Recently noticed that it wouldn't shut off and thought there might be a problem with the cutoff. Well, needed it to air up my tires so took it to the garage and turned it on. Been running about 15 minutes and us just now up to 40lbs. Went and checked other reviews on it and this seems to be a problem with them. One person said that 2 different compressors have done the same thing? Great at first and then little or nothing. Well, that didn't last long for the money. Have to go with "avoid at all costs" as I had gotten it on sale.

Run away from this product

This air compressor shook apart with nuts breaking after the 3rd use. If I could give this a negative number for rating I would.

Poor Quality

|

I have had it for just over a year. Used it exclusively for finish nailing on special projects less then 25 times. At first it was decent, but as the uses went by, it slowly took longer and longer to fill, now it takes 30 minutes get above 60 psi and NEVER stops running. 10 nails and you have wait for it to build back up.

loud and wimpy

OK for shooting small nails, but won't even blow up a compact car's tires. Ear buster.

Pressure continuity

|

If you want to use the compressor for cleaning / blowing air it won't last very long and you will have to wait for the pressure to build this back-up. It takes a while to get to pressure. I think I'll try again.

It's loud and will run constantly due to small tank capacity. The weak motor doesn't fill it fast.

|

This unit is loud for how small it is. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but because it has to refill itself constantly, it's pretty annoying. If you can afford something better, buy it. Otherwise, it's a great bargain to get a compressor, nailer, hose, and air kit for under a buck. Even better if you can get it on sale. I give it two stars because the price I actually paid was fair, but otherwise, I would've purchased a real Craftsman, Porter Cable, or Stanley Bostitch and accessories for 2-3 times as much if I could've worked up a good deal on one. This will have to do for now. When it breaks, I'll cash in on the additional warranty I bought (having never purchased EVOLV, I don't really trust it not to be junk), or if I come up for the budget for a decent 7-10 gallon, 150 PSI unit, I'll sell it and get some of the money back. Long story short, it's loud and will run constantly because of the small tank capacity. The weak motor doesn't fill it very fast, either. It's OK, I guess...

Light Duty but Effective

|

Light and convenient. Works well. Compressor is a bit slow in reaching the desired pressure. Would have preferred a wider base on the nailer to ensure that it is always pointing directly into the material.

Excellent compressor

|

Purchased this for the lake and used to blow up lake toys and for construction in the cabin. Worked well for both purposes and it is just the right size to move around and store.

Fell apart

|

Price was right, and did not need that much power. However was a little disappointed inthe time it took to fill the tank. After only a few months, went to use it and had no pressure at all. I had bought the extend guarantee, so I was refunded my money. They didn't want the entire unit back so it sat in my garage. One day I finally looked into what went wrong. The pump had completely come apart. lesson learned

Thank you for using Shop Your Way. While the compressor and nail kit gun is very handy to have around the home or in a vehicle, I wouldn't recommend it's use on outdoor fencing. The gun and primarily the nails are more suited for small wood projects. It creates a slightly larger hole than what a finishing nail gun would do which is really only suitable for doing projects like finished trim work in the home. The fencing would not hold up well at all.

Hopefully, this will help answer your question - I found the Operator's Manual online at download.sears.com/own/spin_prod_683873201.pdf

Cut in pressure is 85 PSI and Cut out pressure is 100 PSI which is capacity, if I'm reading the manual correctly!
