Craftsman stool is a must-have for everyone with a work bench

I bought this Craftsman hydrolic stool for my workbench and I love it.  It was easy to assemble, looks good and has a very solid base.  Oh and confortable.  The hydrolic seat moves up or down for the perfect level for your needs.  The back rest is confortable as well when you need to sit back and think a minute.  For the price I dont think you can find anything better.  If you have an uneven floor it has ajusters on the butom to make it level.  It also comes in different colors but black was the one I needed.

Looks are not everything

This chair always looked good in the store and the ads so I got one last Christmas. Its really not a very well built stool but for the price I expected that. The problem is the stool is not comfortable. The seat cushion sort of goes flat when you set on it like its full of air. The tiny little back rest offered no support but did help keep you from falling off the back when you set. Not rolling, not mobile became a problem quckly. I seldom set in mine and sold it a couple of months ago. It still looked good, never hardly set on it. But as we know, looks are only skin deep.

Sweet looking, over rated (300lbs-NO-250lbs max)

Here it goes.. fighting w/on-line reps, to purchase these things at the s.. price.. (standing in line at T.G. for 3 &1/2 hrs) then in the store, the cashier had to fight w/me.. telling me the sale for them was only on-line "WTF" & it ended !! I'm glad I talked to the manger (day before) at the store & he was their that night or I wouldn't have gotten these at the sale price, one of my worse buy experience from Sears to date ! Want to read my review "maxed char... limit".. See my comments in Q&A

easy chair

Easy to setup, sturdy, stable, and comfortable. I have a not so small bottom so I would say the seat platform could be bigger and the cushion thicker if I were going to sit on this all day long but it's excellent for those times when you want to read a shop manual or get off your feet while doing bench work.

Outstanding stool

The chair when assembled properly was level, solid and a great addition to my shop. Instructions are clear and came with assembly tools although I prefer to use a power tool to tighten the bolts.

Great Stool

This stool is a quality product and an outstanding value for the money. It was easy and quick to assemble. It can be raised to whatever height your work bench is. The only drawback is that I wish it had wheels instead of being stationary. There may be a wheel package that will fit and I hope to find one. The stool is an outstanding buy from Sears.

Fair Stool

Bought this for me workshop! Not a bad stool but I don't think it is Craftsman standard! I like it but not what I would expect from Craftsman! I did buy it on sale. Would not pay full price.

This is a good sturdy shop stool. It was delivered in 2 days. Was easy to assemble and is strong and sturdy like Craftsman is known for.

Super confortable work stool

This matches my Craftsman workbench. Just the right height so I can sit comfortably and work on small projects. The foot bar is at a comfortable height for me (6 foot) while seated. Assemble the pieces loosely and tighten once all the legs are together.

Update: .. 4mths of use the hydraulic fails, when it states its able to handle 300lbs "Epic-Fail SEARS" !!

I have one that is over 3 years old and one that I bought last Christmas. Both handle well over 300 lbs all the time. I love my chairs!

MY Rating) I had to give these a three out of five.. one for the thin padding.. two for the weight rating.. these were rated to handle 300lbs.. No.. more like 250lbs, I weigh 256lbs & the hydraulic shaft wants to fail.. I can physically feel it.. given enough time, I'm assuring you they will fail ! I luv the looks of them, once you get them out of the box, they seem well packaged & clean.. it took me a bought a half hr to ass.. one, after that it was a cake walk, building the other three.. Conn.

..Continued, was done in 45min., you'll want to use the tools that come w/them.. (I like kits w/the required tools for ass..) its easier IMO, I have better tools that probably speed up the process but I deiced to take my time & use the free tools LOL. If you got these for a present.. the square pipe goes on the out side (yep.. Man.. instructions are horrible), the legs bolt from the inside, "haha.. no your not missing any peaces".. the back rest slides in at the seat base LOL.. so there you go.

COMPLAINT) Pre-Black friday (doorbuster) ; Found out the black ones will be on sale at 39.99 Thanksgiving night (local store has 50sh n stock), this pre-B.-Friday D.B. sale exclusive is to members only for 6hrs (only on selected items), spent the hole day confirming I could get them @ sale price from many reps., only to find out.. none of the reps would allow me have any at the sale price "What happened to CUSTOMER CARE !", forcing me to wait... 20+ yrs as a loyal customer "I'm very Angry" !

I was on-line w/ several reps., pryer to the sale & when the sale started @ 5PM !, I was told by several reps before the sale started that I could get the stools.. then when the sale started.. all I would have to do is use my SYWR I.D. & I would see my discount at the shopping cart. Nope.. several reps after that told me the same thing you stated.. its no longer available.. "WTH" ... "BIG FAIL" !!

I have been trying to order Craftsman high-top work table item #00952590000 model #52590 for 2 years from my local store. they always had problem trying to order. PLEASE tell me when it may be available. the new table and stool set is just not the quality as the one I want. we love the high back adjustable stools. our garage is mostly all Craftsman products and my kitchen is kenmore equipped. hoping not to be disappointed, heather purcell

Update: Sorry Heather.. I did some checking around.. the table you were looking at is much better than the one they have in the kit/set I was talking a bought earlier.. the set does-not have the pads around/on the feet or the coasters plus it looks like the set (table) looks a bit thinner too. What a shame.. did you see the other bar stool tables (?).. their not Craftsman but most have pictures of other stuff on them.. they are triple the price almost. Sears does have the set tho if all else f..
