Craftsman stool is a must-have for everyone with a work bench

I bought this Craftsman hydrolic stool for my workbench and I love it.  It was easy to assemble, looks good and has a very solid base.  Oh and confortable.  The hydrolic seat moves up or down for the perfect level for your needs.  The back rest is confortable as well when you need to sit back and think a minute.  For the price I dont think you can find anything better.  If you have an uneven floor it has ajusters on the butom to make it level.  It also comes in different colors but black was the one I needed.

Looks are not everything

This chair always looked good in the store and the ads so I got one last Christmas. Its really not a very well built stool but for the price I expected that. The problem is the stool is not comfortable. The seat cushion sort of goes flat when you set on it like its full of air. The tiny little back rest offered no support but did help keep you from falling off the back when you set. Not rolling, not mobile became a problem quckly. I seldom set in mine and sold it a couple of months ago. It still looked good, never hardly set on it. But as we know, looks are only skin deep.

Great stool

My husband & son love this hydraulic stool for the garage...we have 2 of them. It raises up very high - great for tall people.

Good stool for good times...

|

The Craftsman Stool is a must have for any shop or garage. I purchase 2 along with the Craftsman Pub Table and it has turned out to be a good place to hang out with my son who wolves to work/hang in the garage. The stool are of good quality and adjust up/down to fit the pub table or the work bench. Purchase mine on sale so they were a steal!

Great looking seat.

|

This is still in the box until Christmas. It showed up while I was online at Sears.com and I recognized it as a good value purchase. It is just the right height for my work bench I previously purchased. I am certainly looking forward to it being put to good use. Thanks for the option to purchase.

Great stool

|

So far so good! Assembled this stool in about 20 minutes. Process was very straight forward and the stool came out very nice. So far it works great, spins freely, and fits nicely under my craftsman 6ft work bench.

Craftsman Chrome/Vinyl Hydraulic Stool

|

First off, I purchased this stool on-sale at 50% off, At this price point, it's not a bad deal. It seems well made.
It's not that comfortable, at least not for me (6', 200 lbs). At its lowest setting I'm still too high above my workbench to work comfortably.
Only the seat height is adjustable; the legs are not. There are no wheels on the legs, so just be aware of that.

Nice

|

My work benches are fairly high (39") so I usually stand for most things that I do. Detailed work, though, requires sitting and this stool provided a comfortable cushion with a decent backrest. The adjustments are good and the construction decent. It is a bit lightweight, but seems solid.

Adequate But Not Great

|

The stool was easy to assemble. Unfortunately, the vinyl upholstery is thin and arrived with a slit in the seat. Because this is for the garage, I let it go, figuring that a little duct tape would take care of it. I appreciate having the ability to adjust the height. At the sale price, it's an OK value.

bar stool

|

This stool is too tall at it's lowest setting 29" to use with a regular height work bench. And the back rest feels a little flimsy.

Excellent deal when on sale

|

Once assembled, the stool is quite sturdy. The back rest is adjustable, or removable if desired. The height adjuster works well, and you can put feet up on the leg support. The height adjusts enough to accommodate both high and normal height benches. The seat swivels. I bought it on sale for half price, so it was a excellent deal, and a welcome addition to my shop.

Very Good Workshop Stool

|

Just happened to see this online and saw it was on sale for $69 (reg $99). Then checked on the Craftsman Club price and it was only $49. Couldn't turn it down for that price. Put it together in about 10 minutes. Love the hydraulic up and down. You can't go wrong with this stool.

Good Stool

|

Very good stool. Assembly was pretty simple and straight forward. I was done in about 10 minutes. The stool looks and feels very sturdy. I'm a big guy and it holds me well. The stool looks very good. Nice addition to my work area. Nice to be able to sit when doing lengthy fine work or drawings.

MY Rating) I had to give these a three out of five.. one for the thin padding.. two for the weight rating.. these were rated to handle 300lbs.. No.. more like 250lbs, I weigh 256lbs & the hydraulic shaft wants to fail.. I can physically feel it.. given enough time, I'm assuring you they will fail ! I luv the looks of them, once you get them out of the box, they seem well packaged & clean.. it took me a bought a half hr to ass.. one, after that it was a cake walk, building the other three.. Conn.

..Continued, was done in 45min., you'll want to use the tools that come w/them.. (I like kits w/the required tools for ass..) its easier IMO, I have better tools that probably speed up the process but I deiced to take my time & use the free tools LOL. If you got these for a present.. the square pipe goes on the out side (yep.. Man.. instructions are horrible), the legs bolt from the inside, "haha.. no your not missing any peaces".. the back rest slides in at the seat base LOL.. so there you go.

I have been trying to order Craftsman high-top work table item #00952590000 model #52590 for 2 years from my local store. they always had problem trying to order. PLEASE tell me when it may be available. the new table and stool set is just not the quality as the one I want. we love the high back adjustable stools. our garage is mostly all Craftsman products and my kitchen is kenmore equipped. hoping not to be disappointed, heather purcell

Update: Sorry Heather.. I did some checking around.. the table you were looking at is much better than the one they have in the kit/set I was talking a bought earlier.. the set does-not have the pads around/on the feet or the coasters plus it looks like the set (table) looks a bit thinner too.
What a shame.. did you see the other bar stool tables (?).. their not Craftsman but most have pictures of other stuff on them.. they are triple the price almost.
Sears does have the set tho if all else f..
