I've been using these remotes for 10 years. Two remotes were included with the opener, and I bought an extra remote for my third vehicle. One remote just stopped working after 10 years. So, two out of three are still working after 10 years. I would say that's a good deal!
The last remote stopped working after 3 years. The new one was way overpriced! and stopped working after 3 months. Unacceptable - especially with something that has the Craftsman name on it.
I sometimes suspect some reviews are plants, but I am for real, and my two openers have done well, and the batteries have lasted over a year so far. My only problem is I lost one remote and have to get a replacement.
I have been trying to purchase this item for 3 weeks now and the process is broken. You cannot buy this item directly from the manufacturer however, Sears.com and local stores do not have them in stock. I called Sears.com only to be told they don't know why it is on sale because they do not have these in stock and they cannot be shipped to the store, but you can buy it from Sears Parts for $55+. What ever happened to good old fashion customer service with out gimmicks? I am sadly dispointed in Sears and Craftsman.
Even though our garage door motor is a Sears and meets the requirements for this opener, it did not work, it would not change the setting code as instructed. This particular remote is identical to the one that came with our original door opener, it would not operate the door. Will be taking it back for a refund.
This remote was very easy to set up thanks to the sales rep at Sears (I knew nothing about them). I purchased it to go on my motorcycle keychain and am looking forward to easy access to my garage!
The only reason the keychain Remote does not get five stars is that I would like to see it a little smaller.
Our house we bought is 12 years old. The Craftsman remote finally died. I thought it would be impossible to find a replacement part for an older product. Using Sears knowledge database it quickly zeroed me in on the right part for the right price. The remote worked perfectly after a simple "push a button" programming. Thank you Sears for being so customer oriented.
This remote garage door opener was really great right out of the box. The setup instructions were easy to read and easy to follow. Took me a total of 5 seconds for it to learn. Its easily fits on a key chain and not bulkey at all. Would strongly recommend for anyone who needs a new opener.
This was purchased to add another remote to our Craftsman system. It works beautifully! This model is small enough to fit in the change area of my car. I recommend this remote. A +
This Key Chain remote is perfect! It's easy to set up and easy to use. I use it several times a week, when riding my Bike or my Harley, and it works great. When you need to replace the battery, that's easy too.

These are the remotes that came with the Craftsman opener we installed when we built our house. One still has the original battery. The other has had one battery replaced. Mine died yesterday. New battery hasn't fixed it. I'll by a new one tonight. Never had a single problem with it.
Fast delivery, set it up in 30 seconds. Worked perfectly!
A great replacement or auxiliary door controller. EASY to program (takes a ladder and about 30 seconds). Small size and full functionality are perfect for a woman's purse or a motorcyclist.
The first one I bought lasted more than 10 years. Finialy all of the switches wore out. The new one stopped transmitting after a month of use.
Just junk. Don't buy. The lithium batteries in both of mine (the manual says they should last for five years) go dead after about one month. I put new batteries in and they're dead in a month. I'm on my third set of batteries since the first of the year. Sears says there must be something slowly draining the battery even when the opener is not activated, but beyond that they were of no help and would not offer to replace them. Their sales reps at the store, and their customer rep on the phone, seem totally disinterested. Hows that for customer service!!
I've had one of these for close to two years. It still works just as well as the day I bought it. I just purchased a second one to use in a different car. Both stay in the car most of the time, so they don't get much abuse. Both were easy to program (each took about 10 seconds to program) and both have worked flawlessly every time.
This is a poor made product, I'm soory I purchased it.
