Lightweight, Compact - Perfect for Delicate Jobs...

I received my new 4V Drill/Driver as a Christmas present from my daughter and son-in-law. If you haven't had a chance to try one out yet, you are missing out on a neat little tool. This thing rocks!

No do get me wrong, I won't be using it to torgue Tapcons into concrete block walls anytime soon, but it is a prefect size for a great many projects that pose a concern for some of my bigger tools.

Today I was working around the shop and decided to install some doors on a cabinet that I have been building. I decided to give the 4V a try and I think I am in love. The compact nature of this tool is perfect for this type of job. it carries more power than I expected too. I think Craftsman has another hit with this line of tools.

Must have at least two of these!

Best little power tool I ever bought. Tight, hard to get to places, not a problem.

Great hobby drill

|

I bought this drill and an extra battery for the small scale wood models I build. I have a 7.2, 10, 12 and 19.2 cordless drills, but they are bit heavy for the small bass and balsa wood models. This is a perfect fit and actually quite powerful for such a little drill. The charge lasts a long time and the auto keyless chuck lock is a real plus. The clutch works well and the 2 speed gear box is truly helpful. I had one of those cheap knock off 4 vot ni-cads that never did work well, plus the bits fell out all the time. Never had an issue with this drill/driver. I would highly recommend it for the small scale hobbyist.

V4 Battery-Powered Screwdriver - lightweight & compact

|

Craftsman V4 Battery-Powered Screwdriver —

I received my V4 Screwdriver as a Christmas present.

It's small and light-weight. It is much more comfortable to hold than the old straight bodied battery powered driver I had. It also charges much more quickly.

It provides an adequate amount of torque for the small jobs around the house. For larger projects, the Nextec is what I use.

The led light is nice and helped when I was replacing a light fixture, but if there was a way to keep it constantly on that would be helpful when working in low light conditions.
