Of course my wife couldn’t understand why I would want to spend $25 for a wire cutter; but after having bought numerous cheap ones, I figured I might as well invest in a set of Craftsman that way I could always return them if they stopped working. That conversation occurred many years ago and the very same Craftsman Wire Cutter-Stripper and Crimper are still in my tool box. During all these years they have been used to fix everything from my son’s stereo speakers to some serious do-it-yourself wiring in the home and I have no complaints. The padded handles are an added bonus as they do not slip even when your palms are sweaty during the summer heat. I strongly recommend this product as the real deal!!!
You cannot crimp a automotive plug wire even close to correct with these pliers. Does anybody even test them? I cant beleive craftsman puts their name on them! If you purchase them with the intention of making plug wires you are going to be MAD!!!!
Works will, you strip, cut and crimp wires all with one tool. And it's made in the USA! This is the way all Craftsman tools should be made!
Very good tool; performs all functions quite well.
Has pretty much everything you will need for cutting, crimping and stripping wire at home. I like that it is easy to read and find the slot for whatever size electrical application your working on. Knocking one star off since it is a bit spendy at full price. Though finding it on sale can give you a good tool at a good price.
Bought this tool for basic wire stripping and was surprised at all of the other features on it. It is useful for cutting, stripping, bending and calculating the measurement of all kinds of wires. Great value for the money!
This is a great pair of wire strippers and cutter and crimping tool plus it is made in the USA so you know you can't go wrong !!the price was right and you get the lifetime warranty!!!
This is a very good wire stripper for every-day repairs. Cuts are clean and the removal of insulation usually doesn't cut any strands of wire. Don't cheap out on the > $10 strippers, you'll see a huge difference. If you're cutting a lot of romex, go with a dedicated romex tool.
Electrical pliers seem to be medium quality but they should hold up during my intermittent usage. Not quite Klein quality. Alignment seems to a little off. Hope Forever warranty on this tool is there when I need it.
