if you can get them cheap, theyre ok

I recently bought a pair at Sears's and for the money they're ok. If you can find them on sale for say, $9.99, that's even better. I just needed a pair for a small apartment and they fit the bill. I use them to listen to music and watch movies on my Mac Mini and they're fine for that. Compared to a Harmon Kardon, Logitech, or other high priced subwoofer system the sound isn't really that great. But what would you expect for under $20? They're fine for using with an iPod or other portable too. They would not make a good "main" sound system though.

Cyber Acoustics 2 pc. Speakers - waste

We got these Cyber Acoustics 2 pc. Speakers as a gift. They are certainly at the low end of the bottom spectrum. These have controls on the front and connect and work ok but sound terrible. I have seen worse though. For the price as an alternative to just PC machine in-built speakers they may do the job at the lowest end. But don't buy these for yourself -- I would rather spend more and get decent ones that do not sound like a crying cow locked up in basement. I cannot recommend to anyone even as a gift unless you want to lose the goodwill of receiver. We ended up donating ours after listening to them for a few days

Fine for the price

I just picked these up at my local Sears store for $13.99. I checked around online and really couldn't find any prices that were much lower. I bought these to replace a pair of JBL PC speakers that had come with one of my old desktop PCs. I used them with my Laptop, as the laptop speakers are a little "tinnny" sounding. The JBL's I was using developed a bad connection, so I replaced them with these. So far, I'm very pleased with them. Now, for $13.99 they're not going to give you high-end BOSE speaker sound. But, I feel like they sound better than the JBLs that I was using. They're probably about 8 inches tall and 3 or so inches wide. Work perfectly for what I'm using them for, but I don't listen to a lot of music online. If you do that, you might want to find some speakers that include a subwoofer. But, if you listen to a lot of talk, like I do, and want it to sound better than your Laptop or Desktop speakers do, or if your laptop speakers aren't giving you enough volume, which is one of the reason I like to use external speakers, I think these will fill the bill. Don't know how long they'll last, but only time will tell.
