Great Battery, Good Price, Easy to Buy.

The quality of the battery is great and the price was really good compared to the competitors. Plus the product was very easy to purchase with the on-line purchase/ store pick up program.

bad battery

This battery came on a $1300.00 riding mower That was purchased last Oct. I used it about 4 times this summer ( because of drought) it would start sometimes and sometimes not. had it checked at battery store, and was told it was bad. Contacted the HOME OWNED STORE and was told it was only a 3 month warranty, and there was nothing he could do. there is something I can do, I will not purchase another item from sears because of a 40.00 dollar battery

Works great

|

The only time I ever had a problem was when I left the key on. I wanted to check the number of hours it had and I forgot to turn the key to the off position. That drained the battery right out. Lesson learned. I charged the battery and it has worked fine ever since. 3+ years of life and counting.

Dependable

|

I have had several tractor batteries over the years, they always last a long time and are always dependable. What else could you ask for, no problems.

Die Hard #163465 U1R Battery

|

Bought new lawn tractor in 2010, it's 2016 and the battery just died. Thought it was not serviceable, but after a quick check I noticed the caps do come out with a small screwdriver. All the cells were out of water and my charger said there was one (1) shorted cell. If I would have pulled the battery and added distilled water when low it would probably not need replacing, even after 6 years. I'm going to buy another one today.

Poor quality battery

|

This battery came with a brand new Husqvarna-built Craftsman Pro 42" deck mower bought in 2015. Used the mower for the season. Went to winterize the mower; had not used it in a month. The battery was dead and would not take a charge. I have had terrible luck with DieHard batteries in lawn mowers. This is 3 or 4 that have been defective or filed to even last one year. Have replaced with other brands with higher CCAs (340 minimum) without any issue. I cannot recommend DieHard batteries anymore.

Lasted 5+ years

|

I bought my Craftsman GTS 5000 tractor in 2009. It has a 54" deck and a 26 hp Kohler engine. The battery has recently begun to cut out before I can complete my mowing. I have a 1.5 acre lot and have clocked just over 200 hours. For my needs, this battery has been very solid. I see there's an option to buy a "Gold" battery with more cca, but I don't see the need to pay an extra $10. I'll be buying this one (part # 163465)again.

It works even when it's -10 degrees outside and that says alot for any battery.

After 22 years in the automotive industry the Sears Die Hard Batteries have always lasted longer than the warranty. The closest comparison was interstate but in the last 10 years they have reduced the internal plate size which tends to cause premature failire in cold climates.

<p> </p>
<p>Battery lasted 3 months.  Replacement battery under warrantee lasted 3 weeks.  Sears employee claimed the replacement battery was good, yet a battery store thirty minutes later said it had a bad cell.  The Sears employee ignored me for 25 minutes (I was the only customer) - then told me within 2 minutes that battery was fine.  I think he just didn't want to wait on me as typically a battery check takes 5 to 6 minutes.   </p>
<p> </p>
<p>&lt;span&gt;I went to ******* and bought an EverStart battery for 22 bucks - it works fine for half the money and the customer service was excellent.&lt;/span&gt;</p>
