After 22 years in the automotive industry the Sears Die Hard Batteries have always lasted longer than the warranty. The closest comparison was interstate but in the last 10 years they have reduced the internal plate size which tends to cause premature failire in cold climates.

all sears die hard batteries are of excellent quality.I own a sears Die hard lawn tractor battery,it is the best that money can buy.

bad battery

This battery came on a $1300.00 riding mower That was purchased last Oct. I used it about 4 times this summer ( because of drought) it would start sometimes and sometimes not. had it checked at battery store, and was told it was bad. Contacted the HOME OWNED STORE and was told it was only a 3 month warranty, and there was nothing he could do. there is something I can do, I will not purchase another item from sears because of a 40.00 dollar battery

DieEasy. Don't waste your money

Battery lasted 3 months.  Replacement battery under warrantee lasted 3 weeks.  Sears employee claimed the replacement battery was good, yet a battery store thirty minutes later said it had a bad cell.  The Sears employee ignored me for 25 minutes (I was the only customer) - then told me within 2 minutes that battery was fine.  I think he just didn't want to wait on me as typically a battery check takes 5 to 6 minutes.

Maybe third time will be a charm

I bought this in the spring.  Four months later and the battery had to be charged every week before I mowed.  At the five month mark the battery was totally dead.   Sears confirmed the battery was dead and replaced it for free.  The replacement battery wouldnot even turn the engineI over after it was charged so I am returning it tomorrow -- hopefully the third one will work.

Sears customer support is great. Diehard batteries seem to DieEasy.

Battery lasted ONE Season

I bought lawnmower in August 2011 and cut grass through the year. March 2012 I had to jumpstart battery everytime. Service center said the battery had a bad cell in it. No replacement or warranty was offered. I would have to buy a new battery.

slight trouble with installing new battery

replacement 2010 battery was the same size as my 2003 battery but the terminals were reversed.  I had to reverse the shelf and reroute the wires to make them reach.  Also had to manufacture a PVC bracket to hold the battery down so not to use the original plastic bracket showing the wrong polarity.

I have an older tractor that can be hard to start because the engine is hard to turn over.  I got this battery and it starts up everytime I turn the key!  Great product!

Diehard Battery lasted the remainder of the season. Died Easy

Worst money I ever spent. I bought the battery in August and used it for the remainder of the season (October, 2 Months). The next season, the battery is dead and won't take a charge. I called sears an all they could say is that it is only worth a $5.00 core charge. I know it has a (6) month warrenty, but shouldn't it actually last longer? I won't be buying a diehard again, for lawn tractor or car/truck.

The di hard battery line is the one that alwayscome to mind FIRST whan I need a new battery. I am always satisfied with them and if you should have trouble, they stand behind the product.

excellant battery

I have recently purchased this battery to replace my 6 year old Sears Garden Tractor battery. I figured if the 6 yr old battery(Sears) has lasted this long, it is worth getting another replacement. Since batteries only last about 4-5 years I figured it was due for a replacement .Tractor is a John Deere Lt 133 that I purchased new in 9-97
