Worst boots ever.

I work in an automotive shop and this boot did not hold up at all. The shoelace split on me within the first two weeks. The seams came apart only after 3-4 months. I'm 8-10 months in with these boots and the leather came apart on the heel part.. Will not be buying Die Hard boots again even if they're on sale...

Tough and comfortable.

I have been wearing these boots for over a year, 5 days a week. The bottoms still look deep and new. The leather takes a beating and with a polish still looks new.I have been wearing Craftsman boot since the 1960's. The quality is still the same, comfortable and tough.

The price and quality is good. Get some cheap insoles and they fell like a million dollar boot.

Most Uncomfortable Boots Ever

The boots are about as flexible as PVC pipe, and the top of the boot that touches the back of your leg/ankle is so rigid that it feels like it will cut into your leg at any time. They smell horrible, too.

No longer a diehard fan

Previous bad boot experience w/ diehard, but I went back. This had a great price, but after a month of light duty the seams began opening up. I received my money back. THEN, I saw them at half price, so I bought them. I walked around the warehouse at work for four HOURS, and the seams began coming apart. I saw the shoe dept mgr who said their 90 day guarantee can only be used once, that you can't keep buying the same shoes and returning them, etc, etc. Mgr said I could get a higher priced boot, but I would have to pay the difference. (Bait & switch??) I didn't have any other shoes to wear so I could return them right then, but I will tomorrow. Sears has lost yet another customer. I will have to think long and hard about walking in there again.( Note Had the same problem with Sears' hacksaw w/ multiple returns)

these boots were the worst ever besides the smell that never goes away the quality is not there at all anymore diehard used to mean something not anymore take a chance if you want and buy them no more diehard products for me

After purchasing 2 pair of these boots in the past & liking very much, I purchased a third pair. Sears must have changed the supplier for these boots because the last pair are nowhere as nice as the first two pair. They smelled very bad & just aren't as comfortable as the previous pairs. I hope Sears reads these reviews & goes back to using the original supplier.

Comfortable and Durable..

I grew up wearing Sears work boots. These are as good as any I have ever bought here.

I wear these 5 days a week and walk on cement, dirt, puddles, items on the ground and now a lot of months later they are still in awesome shape and when polished, they still look new. Don't let the inexpensive price fool you. They are just a great value. Even the laces are still perfect. They should be all scratched up with what I've put them thru and there not..just a couple of light ones. As expected, I can't tell you how many, many miles walking on cement I've done and the soles look great. No damage, slight wear. Even the inner is still comfortable and in good shape. And for a guy who wears them 5 days a week, week after week, they stay dry inside. Possibly it's the vented parts that keep them dry, yet when I step into a deep puddle, I have never got a wet foot. I have not sttod in water, but have walked through them often.

I recommend them and will buy another pair if these ever wear out.
