Great boot!

I'm on my feet for 12+ hours a day. I'm not a small man! Some boots only last me about 3 months. Not the Sears Boot. I have noticed NO breakdown. My feet dont hurt anymore. This Sears Duty Boot rocks! Light! Feels like a mocassin. I have Bates duty boots that sit at home. Dont spend $170 on 511 or the Bates boots. Sears duty boot is a great value at $45-$60. (Depending is they are on sale.) Boot does have zipper up the side. Quck on and off! Be safe, PI II

Noxious smell raises concerns

Noticed the chemical odor in the store but thought it would dissipate. Would love to keep these because there comfortable and hate to got back to the store. If anyone found a way to eliminate or even reduce this pungent stench it would be greatly appreciated. What are these boots made of that produces such strong odor? Is it even safe to breath? Won't matter as much outside but would never keep these within 10 feet of me inside. Wife hates the smell too so, hopefully someone has a solution.

Replacement Pair

I purchased this item as a replacement pair. We had a notorious snowfall this past winter and the boots I previously owned were remarkable throughout. I did not feel any cold or wetness and they are still wearable after two seasons.
So when these went on sale along with my SYW points I literally ended up paying $11 and change. The boots are comfortable to wear day after day.
My 23 year old son bought a pair and is extremely satisfied! Think about getting yourself a pair or two. You'll be glad to have them cause winter is coming again.

Impressive for the price!

I literally have no feet problems in these boots. Comfortable and attractive even for women. I stand on my feet for hours everyday and these boots are a Godsend.
Still wearing my first pair for the past two years. They keep my feet dry and warm in below normal temperatures. After record snowfalls these boots still look good. I'm buying a second pair now. I bought my son a pair who wears a size thirteen and he says these are the best wearing boots he ever had! Bravo!

You get what you pay for...

Just as the price indicates, you get what you pay for with these boots. Once the boots get broken in they aren't too bad of a boot. They are fairly comfortable and will do the job, but they take a while to break in and they are not easy to get on and off even with the side zip. I am a correctional officer and I've been wearing these boots day to day for the past three months. I am now on my second pair as the zipper on my first pair just broke. I say save your money and buy a better pair of boots.

Great Boots!

My name is Yolanda Rankins. I have been a police officer for 10yrs. I love work boots that lace up and zip. In the past i have spent anywhere from $90.00 to $150.00 on boots that are accessible by both a zipper and laces. Sears has the best prices, not to mention DieHard is a great brand that fits comfortable. I love these boots and i will continue to purchase them from Sears.

Sincerely

Yolanda Rankins

These boots are typical Chinese junk. Soles separate , poor glueing. overall quality disappointing , especially for sears. Where is the quality control ?

what i was looking for ...great boots!!

"This is the 2nd pair of boots I have purchased. The first pair were bought 14 years ago. They are still comfortable . Never let me down.
I knew I wanted exactly the same again. In a moment of weakness about a year ago, I purchased another brand of inferior boots. They now leak and look awful. The timerland classic is exactly that and worth every penny. Thank you DieHard for not compromising on materials and build quality. I also like the new eco friendly manufacture process - makes them feel even better."

Quality has greatly declined

Have purchased this brand for several years and they were very durable, would last for a year or more. Something has definitely changed, the last pair purchased came apart at the sole in less than 2 months of wear. Sears replaced them and the replacement pair came apart in less than 2 months, again at the sole. I'm giving them one more chance and if this pair comes apart, I'll be looking for another brand!

Work Boots W/ side zipper

I have had several pair of these boots. Great looking with jeans and also works as a work boot. On Off is easy with the side zipper.

Junk

Worn casually a couple dozen times without even a scuff mark and coming apart at the seams. But I've had them more than 90 days so sears won't even talk about making it right.

THESE BOOTS ARE JUNK!!

Die Hard Work Boots

I was very happy to find these boots at Sears. They are made with very good material and are comfortable to wear. The side zipper make them much easier to get on then conventional boots . I will continue to use this brand of boot

Awesome boots!

bought these boots for my boyfriend and he loved them!! He already had a pair, but of course wore the heck out of them! I was very suprised that he'd wanted the same ones again. He says they are very comfortable. The sole of the shoe is very "spongy". The steel toe is very sturdy. And he says that no water gets in. He says he can wear them all day and at the end of the day, won't have sore feet. And even though they're "work boots" they look very good with a pair of jeans on for a "non work day".

Sole of boot came loose.

Had boots for about 10 months, have worn them about 15 times and the boots were not exposed to water. While walking the sole of the left boot came loose all the way back to the heel. The boots have little ware and should last longer for the cost paid. I don't think I will get any help replacing said boots but will up date if I do. Not happy with the service of boots.

2nd PAIR IN ONE MONTH !!!!!

The first pair soles fell a part & the leather did not hold up to walking in woods. Sticks almost went through. This second pair seems to be a lot
better made. They are taking the working in the woods very well.

Not what they used to be!

I have bought these boots for years and loved them. The last pair I bought does not meet the standards for past boots. The leather if that is what it is is cheaper and the soles leave black marks on the floor. That does not make my wife happy. The overall quality of the boot is lacking. I may try these one more time. THESE BOOTS SHOULD BE MADE IN THE USA. Cheaper prices do not lead to a better product.

These used to be good but now junk

I bought a pair of Die Hard Duty boots several years ago to wear to work. Finally after sever years of hard abuse the zippers broke so I bought a new set.

I noticed that they were Die Hard instead of Die Hard Duty now and an investigation brought up reviews that said production had moved to China.

Within a few weeks of getting the new boots the side seam split on the right shoe. A few weeks later the zipper broke off and when I grabbed it by the heel to take it off the entire bottom of the shoe ripped off.

This is entirely unacceptable and I will not be wasting my money on another pair of these.

Check for sensor

Product was what I wanted, but the security sensor wasn't removed and I didn't realize it till I got home. Then I had to make another trip to the store to have it removed
