DieHard Automotive Battery - Group Size 58 North (Price With Exchange)

Power to spare.

I have used DieHard batteries in my vehicles as far back as I can remember and that is a lot of years. Always reliable unless I had inadvertently left a light on. I will continue to replace a battery that is getting to the point of replacement with a Diehard.

DieHard car battery is comparable to Original Equipment

I would have rated this battery "above average" or better, Had I not taken the time to read the warranty and ask the service technician how they go about testing returned batteries..The warranty was not quite what I expected from Sears..The specifics of what is a good -vs- bad battery are not defined as clearly as I would like. Looking around the auto center where I picked up this battery I noticed a large conspicuous sign that said ..... batteries left for testing will be recycled after 3 days ......The implications of that sign were terrifying .... I'm imagining the situation where a business gets so many batteries coming back, that they have run out of room to store them all ???.Then I read the warranty, and, it said something to the effect that the battery will be charged, and if it retains its charge after 24 hours it is considered *good*..Asking the service tech, his reply is, we put the batteries on a charger for between 4 and 24 hours, and if it charges back up - it is good..The meter shown to me for testing batteries was a simple hand-held voltmeter that could not draw more than a transistor radio without heating up in the technicians hand.... so... I'm underwhemed by this whole warranty situation..To be fair, the battery appears to be of Original-Equipment-Quality. And I expect it will provide four or more years of dependable service. Therefore, I don't really expect the warranty to become an issue for me. At least - I hope not .....

DIEHARD BATTERY

Well rated and reliable battery

Replaced eight year old battery in my 2001 Ford Ranger Edge Super Cab with this nice battery.  Good balance between performance, warranty, and price.

I really wanted the Diehard Gold North, but it was not available at any stores within reasonable driving radius of my home, arg!

So, didn't get the higher CCAs I wanted, but bought this along with another battery for our van to take advantage of discount and sales price of $59.99.

Fit my truck well, looks to be well made, and has good reputation for performance.
