What can I say. I got tired of battery's lasting two years. I bought this battery soley to run my trolling motor for my canoe. I use a Minn Kota 55lb Endura motor. On my first canoe trip this year I was able to go 2 and a half days on a charge. That equaled 30+ miles of river. I did paddle some but I also went back up stream through good fishing holes. It holds a charge like no other battery I have ever owned and that includes the days of bass boats and bass tourneys that I have gladly left behind. Thanks for a great product - Butch from Ohio

Platinum AGM Grp 31 Battery

My Sears AGM Platinum Grp 31 battery has lasted 1 yr 3mos of light duty. It has a hard time holding it's charge and over a 4 hour period of fishing falls to `12.4 volts unless I run the 250 Merc from time to time to keep it charged up to to 12.5 or 12.6 volts. At 12.4 volts the engine starts sluggishly. The only thing pulling current is my Lowrance GPS. Sears says the battery is good but O'Reilly Automotive says it has a bad cell. Meanwhile, I am out almost $300.00 with a "Free 3 Year Replacement Warranty." Sears in Fayetteville, Arkansas says they won't replace it unless it says "Bad" on their equipment. Some warranty! Now What!!!!!!

Awesome battery - wait for sale

Not much to say, it started my truck engine in the coldest, longest winter I ever knew. The only drawback is it's really heavy. Getting it into the engine bay requires lots of effort and care. It needs some sort of handle or strap to do this alone. Plus I only had a few tenths of an inch to spare in my Tundra battery box.

7 years and still going

Own fishing boat. Bought 2 of these in April 2007. One for starting and one for trolling motor. Use at least 10 to 15 times a season. Never ever had an issue. I keep an on board charger on them when parked during season and pull them in the fall and keep on a charger all winter. I just bought a new starter battery now as I feel safety is important. 6 miles out and I really want to get back to dock with out worry. Still using the trolling battery. Worth every penny.

Listen people and listen carefully,Sears sometimes sells things that are of poor quality, but not this time ,I have had this battery on my winch equipted 4x4 truck for almost a year now it has gone from Dallas,Texas to Emery,South Dakota and also sunny Florida without any glitches,oh yeah its a marine battery but it works great on high demand vehicles you know.

Platinum marine 31 m battery

I have three in my boat. Large amp stereo and takes a lot to start this boat I have. I don't see how this battery could **** out, unless you are charging it wrong with the wrong type charger. I go out every Saturday for over two years and never had problems.huge heavy battery but never have to worry. Does take a while to charge but no issues. Starts every time and I run stereo loud all day long while not running boat.

Good while it lasted

But it didn't last. The battery is door nail dead after four years. I was running it in my old Land Cruiser, no winch, just the engine and normal stuff. Considering how much I spent, and the size of this battery, I would think it would last longer. I've had Optima batteries do better.

Going to purchase

I want to know why any one thinks if they get a three year replacement warranty and they have to use it after a year ,why do you expect a new three year warranty when they replace it with a new battery ? i have a Die Hard Marine Battery i have used since 2008 never a problem and it has set and not been used over every winter,i had to charge it once since i had it,I purchased one of the Optima batteries at Sears and it didn't last two weeks, took it back and got the Die Hard and not a problem yet,so no i will buy this one for my other boat i am rebuilding.

Battery failed in less than 2 yrs

Failed in less than 2 yrs. more disappointing was the way the warranty works. I received a new battery but the new battery only has 15 months of the warranty left. You'd think that a new battery would carry the 3 year warranty. This may be the industry standard but it isn't right. Wasn't even offered a chance to buy back the 21 months of warranty. Won't deal with sears again.

Outstanding. Shipped direct from manufacturer.

Best value for the price. Made by a first class facility right here in the USA. Shipped directly to me from the factory. Outstanding performance as house and starting batteries on a diesel engine boat.

Not Recommended

I bought 2 of these for my boat 2 years ago. Last year the first battery failed and replaced just before the 1 year anniversary. 2nd battery failed yesterday and is beyond the 1 year warranty. Average product life is 1 year, give or take a month or 2.

I use these for off-grid power when the commercial power goes off line. I power three 27" LED Computer Monitors, a Computer, external hard drives and cable/dsl modems via an inverter. These are excellent batteries and well worth the money.

Great deep-cycle marine battery

Purchased two years ago, and this DieHard Platinum outlasts and outperforms any battery I've ever had in my boat. Much cheaper than the identical Odyssey PC2150. Virtually maintenance free. I'm buying three more.

Purchased as emergency back up for DC pumps

Used twice before it died. I am returning to Sears today. If it is not exchanged. Reads less than 5v. Charged on alternate rapid charger as last resort. Will be left at Sears if out of warranty. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!! Read other reviews to confirm amount of duds on PM1 models
