Unexpected Life Saver

I originally bought this unit to keep in my boat in case my battery died out in the water and sure enough it saved me $600 for not having to call sea tow, but this isn't even the reason I'm writing this review...Living near the Jersey shoreline, I'm currently on day 5 without power because of Sandy. I was not able to find a generator so all I had was my power pack. To summarize, for the first 48 hours, our cell phones were fully charged, my Ipad was fully charged and we spent our time catching up with the news and watching Netflix online using our mobile hot spot, the lamp produced enough light when having dinner and showering in the dark, and finally with temperatures in the 30's and 40's, my gas fireplace needed some kind of power source to keep the pilot lit and thats what kept us warm at night. After day 3, I went back to work where we had power and I was able to charge my power pack for 8 hours at a time and its been lasting me through the nights.

Will Not Jump completely dead batteries

We bought 3 of these units for our towing business and after using them for about a week we realized that these units will not jump batteries which have very little juice left in them. The jumper pack has a sensor which displays the percentage of the battery which is being jumped. And if it is less than 20% it wont jump the dead battery it wont even try. And generally when a car wont start it only has 5-10% battery life. Not recommended for people looking to jump their cars.

Reviewers may have received a benefit, like a sweepstakes entry or rewards program points, in exchange for writing a review.
Those benefits were not conditioned on the positive or negative content of the review.

Does not jump start vehicles that are very low battery so therefore its useless. I called customer service they informed me that if the battery is dead I need to charge it with a battery charger first before I can jump it so I cant understand the point in calling this item a jump starter what a 150.00$ rip off

Hasn't let us down

My husband bought this after seeing it at my Uncles house. He has used it a number of times already and it is a lifesaver.

This portable power unit is ideal for tailgating during college football season. Used it to power a 24" TV. Charger lasts about 6 hours under constant use. Also very handy when the power went out during snowstorm. Able to keep internet going and charged cell phones.

Life saver

This is a perfect example of a little box having many uses. It will do almost everything. Charges phones, jump starts car, blows up air beds and bikes and soooo much more. Glad I purchased.

Christmas present

I originally wanted a generator for a Christmas present. We agreed that that this product was more practical for our purposes. We needed to inflate the tires (car tires take a while, but get the job done), power up electronics, and jump start cars.
I just jump started my wife's v-8 car with this unit. It was minus 4 outside, and this unit got the vehicle on the road.

Life saver

I have used this jumper several time and its work flawlessly. A must for any one with something that uses a 12 volt battery. Great stand by for emergency.

Saved my bacon more than once...

I was driving cross country from MD to AZ via CO and my car just flat out stalled about 9,400+ ft. on a mountain pass for no reason and the battery didn't have enough cranking amps after three failed start attempts to turn the engine over. The CO state trooper asked if I wanted a jump and I said no, I always travel prepared and hooked this unit up for 10 minutes and my rotary engine started right up. Needless to say, I was as impressed as the trooper was and I was able to make it to Phoenix later that night.
I purchased this unit in the fall of 2010 and I use it frequently to maintain my tire pressure and battery charge needs. It's the end of 2013 and it hasn't failed me yet in almost 4 years of use. I definitely got my money's worth and have lent it out to friends at work so they could make it home with a charge. Almost every friend who has needed it, purchased one a pay check later and now swear by it.

I have never written a review before but: Originally purchased on a whim but 6 years of heavy use later after using as jump, compressor, inflating numerous pool floats, the battery no longer holds a charge. Got my monies worth and then some. Headed to buy another and hope whomever built it then still builds it (doubtful).

Great item

I purchased this unit for its great ampacity and am not disappointed. The 750 peak amp unit is more than ample to help start cars and light trucks. So you can imagine this unit's capability with 1150 peak amps. (I have not tested it to its full potential). The inverter is my standby, backup power for emergencies. How long it lasts remains to be seen.

Worked Perfectly

My wife's car was dead and stuck in the garage where I couldn't reach it with the jumper cables. This unit jump-started it right out of the box without a hitch. If it lasts (always a big if), I'll be happy with it.

Doesn't seem a full charge lasts too long - product gets poor reviews

Just exchanged to newer model.

Just got back for exchanging the older model I bought back July 2013. I am not sure if the older one was broken. The alarm kept coming on after using the USB port for 10 min. The battery percent would go from 100% to 60% in 5min. I left it charging all the time like the said to do. The newer unit build date 4-2013 does not have the external power supply and you just plug in an extension cord to it. It does not show charging percent anymore in front unless you click button to see charge. There is a green LED on back. It was showing 97% when I took it out of the box. I bought it for backup power supply if the power goes out to charge usb and use the inverter in an emergency. Not sure how jump works as I have a new Battery. From other reviews it looks like if you have a bad cell or totally dead battery the device will not jump a car. Hope this time around it lasts. I would not drop this kind of cash on another one.

Be mindful

Be mindful for the reasons you are purchasing the product. The product offers several useful functions depending on your needs. The one function I wanted the unit for is jump starting my John Deer riding mower. It failed. If it cannot do that, I didn't care to much about it's other functions, which maybe it could do very well, but I wanted the jump start function and it failed. Took it back for refund and will now look for something else. So, if jump starting is not a primary function you need, it may still be a good product. Be mindful and test what you are looking for.

Yes it can do all that and lawn mower batteries or small motor bikes or ATVS

I am not sure if you found your answer but if you still need help I am a personal shopper with Kmart Sears and Land End.
