RATEDWon't play CD+G disks - it's junk
This is our second one of these machines since Christmas, and this one, like the first, is going back to Sears for good. Both machines have had the same problem, which is the disk reader struggles to read the CD+G CD's, even the horribly simple ones that it came with.
About 5 minutes into using the original machine on Christmas morning the CD reader began to stuggle and garble the music and lyric display. It got so bad that neither were comprehensible. Skipping to the next track only made it worse, so the day after Christmas we returned it to Sears and got another for my heartbroken daughter.
I wanted to believe that the original machine we purchased was a lemon (the entire line couldn't be this bad, right?), so we exchanged it for another machine of the same model. All seemed OK until day 2 of using the second machine. Same problem, the music and lyrics are garbled, and you can hear the CD reader struggling to operate.
Now I have a $40 CD+G collection that I cannot use and cannot return because it is opened, and a daughter with no karaoke machine to use. We're currently looking for another model and I vow that I will not purchase another Emerson product again
Thanks for the aggravation. Skip this P.O.S. , its pure junk.
