After we, mistakenly, steamed vegetables in our 20 year old farberware ss saucepan, WITHOUT any water in it, the clad bottom seperated from the pot so we purchased this new version. The new pan is excellent though not the same dimensions of the original. Same volume but taller and not as wide. I look forward to another 20+ years of service from this pan. The rest of my original Farberware set is as good as when we purchased it 20 years ago.
