Fisher Price Ford F-150 worth every penny!

We purchased this for our 3 1/2 year old at Christmas time. Our property has some pretty rough terrain with hills and uneven ground. We were worried about any vehicle being powerful enough to handle it. The Ford F-150 passed with flying colors. It handles all areas of our yard without us having to follow behind, pushing the truck to keep it going. We started out with just the first gear but quickly allowed our son to use 2nd gear....which is quite a bit more powerful. Our son loves the radio!! Assembly was very easy and we've had no problems with the battery lasting. We are extremely happy with our purchase and feel this is a very well made, quality truck that will last our son a very long time.

Monster Traction is a Joke

I bought this model with the monster traction hoping that it would actually operate as advertised: "Equipped with Power Wheels exclusive Monster Traction™ drive system for superior performance in the toughest backyard driving conditions. Ruts, wet grass, mud and more…Monster Traction™ powers through." We live in a rural area with no paved surfaces and the regular power wheels just won't drive off-road. When I opened the box on this, the first thing I noticed was that the tires are plastic. I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt, so I assembled and had my neighbor's kid test drive it. Unfortunately, the monster traction drives no better than the models without it. In order to get it to go forward on dry grass, I had to stand behind and constantly give it a push. The tires just spin, they don't grip. If Fisher Price wants to provide a true "off-road, rugged" model, they should have their engineers go back to the design and add rubber tires and suspension - otherwise its just a more expensive version of the same product that does well on paved surfaces only. I am very disappointed in this purchase.

Love it!!

|

What a great purchase! It was super easy to assemble, and after the battery charged, my son was off and running. We took the screw out after one drive around to allow it to go faster and over more things. It went from pavement to grass to gravel without stopping. It even went over my raised flower beds. The radio works great, and can be quite loud. My husband has researched putting rubber tires on it for when we are out camping, and I have already ordered the quick charger. Overall I would highly recommend this truck.

Awsome little truck

|

Easy to set up, has a functioning radio, rides high so not to get caught up on sidewalks / curbs / grass / anything really.

When you take the screw out and let your child drive in fast mode I have seen this thing climb easily over sidewalks alone without me having to push it. I love this truck, if I was 3-10 again... I would never stop driving it.

Speaking of which, the battery life is amazing! I would buy the quick charger though... because the stock charger is not a good one (has no light indicator telling you if its charged... or anything, plus takes forever to charge *12-24 hrs*)

Best gift for any child of suitable age!

it was okay

|

it ran ok but I think they could do much better like they could put on rubber tires and it should be able to hold more weight yet for the most part it ran like any other power wheels

Great Buy

|

We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old and he loves it! He just calls it his "Black Truck". Compared to some smaller ones we've had, this thing has great power and with the big tires, it rarely, if ever gets stuck and it climbs some fairly steep hills in our yard with no problem. The battery life is also excellent and is usually still going strong by the time my son decides he's done. This was one toy that was well worth the money.

Amazing!

|

Got this for my 3 year old grandson. We have a pretty bumpy, grassy yard and this thing just went through it like nothing! He cannot get enough of it. The one thing I would change would be that the doors open. He has to climb over the sides to get in. So far, he's okay with it tho. Also could use a horn and real headlights but it does have a real working radio!
