This is a fantastic item that takes up very little counter space

I have a FoodSaver vacuum system and purchased this particularly to store cold cuts and bacon. I also find this device excellent for storing left-over meats. It keeps everything fresh until you are ready to use them, all vacuum sealed as when you first purchased them. I no longer have to throw away "old" cold cuts and "old" bacon. It is also great for storing those left-over meats until you are ready to eat them again. I highly recommend this product.

Saves me lots of $$$$$

I love this little machine! My husband and I are "empty nesters" now, so we don't go through things like cheese & lunch meat very fast and often find ourselves throwing lots of food away...but not anymore! Now, we can keep a brick of cheese for months! The lunch meat still doesn't last a super long time, but I bet we can extend the life of an opened package of lunch meat by at least another 7 to 10 days when we reseal it in one of the Food Saver bags and use this nifty handheld device to suck out the air.

This machine is always plugged in and is now a permanent fixture on my counter. It's great for any leftovers. We've also used it for dinner rolls, bread & tortillas, which now last us much longer before getting dried out and/or moldy. Just be careful not to suck out too much air when storing soft items like rolls, bread, etc. or they will get squished.

The bags are a bit pricey, but they are quite heavy duty. I wash and reuse the bags many, many times before they need to be thrown away. Awesome product! I find that I use the larger gallon size bags much more than the quart size bags.

I just bought four of these to give as Christmas gifts this year!

Does this have enough suction power for larger bags, like the space saver bags used for travel?
by Erica Utter

Hello Erica Utter, this little vacuum will NOT have enough suction to remove all the air and compress clothing that is put in a space saver vacuum bag.
