Description
The Frigidaire 80101 room air conditioner has 10,000 BTUs of power to cool a room up to 500 square feet in area. The unit has mechanical controls, features 8-way air direction control and has a tilt-out filter. This window air conditioner fits a window from 23 inches to 36 inches wide and at least 15.5 inches high.

Frigidaire 10,000 BTU Room Air Conditioner works well.

The Frigidaire Model # FRA102BT1, 10,000 BTU Room Air Conditioner works well. You can preset a temperature and it maintains that temperature automatically. There is a filter cleans the air and removes harmful bacteria and allergens. After a power failure it automatically resumes operating at its previous settings when power is restored.

With 10,000 BTUs and a three position switch this unit can cool 500 square feet and dehumidify 2.7 pints per hours. This allows quick cooling of a room on hot humid days.

This air conditioner does a great job of cooling, even better then the 12,000 BTU unit it replaced. The fan isn't too loud but does blow constantly. I would give this 4-1/2 stars if I could.

it shot ice out! it's super loud when it does it too. Plus this beast is huge and not worth the price for not having a remote...oh and did i mention that in the middle of the night it would loudly shoot ice out!

EXCELLENT FIND & BUY

I'M A KENMORE LOVER MYSELF,I GREW UP WITH SEARS,I LOVE THIS AC....IT KEEPS AT LEAST 2 ROOMS COOL,I'M PLANNING ON BUYING ANOTHER 1 IN THE UPCOMING WEEKS

Frigidaire 10,000 BTU Room Air Conditioner

Installed this unit in our livingroom window after our whole house ac quit working and parts had to be ordered which took several days. When I first turned it on it was 92 deg on the first floor, within a hour it was 76 deg and very comfortable.

Easy to install. Works beautifully!!!!

<p>This air conditioner is great for the price. It cools my large livingroom quickly. The installation instructions were easy to follow. My son and I had it in the window within 20 minutes. I would recommend this product to anyone!</p>

<p>This window a/c works  great! I have zero complaints about the unit, however, if I were to &quot;nit-pick&quot; the thing,   this unit has limited ability to direct the cold air. But that is realy no big deal!</p>

Frigidaire 10,000 BTU Room Air Conditioner--good buy

<p>It's a great air conditioner for the price.  It just makes a weird clicking sound when it has been on for awhile.  This usually will wake me up in the middle of the night, but it is worth the cold air considering how hot it was it the house before we got it.  If you have the option to spend more and get a better, more quiet one I would suggest that but if you don't I'm hoping I'll get used to the noise eventually.</p>

To my Sears peers last month here in St Louis I lost the use of my central air in my home, now this happen once one other time the previous year so I decided I needed a window unit so in case of emercies like this or to balance the temperature in my home I decided to shop on line for a window unit. Upon my research of many stores I came across this unit in many places however I decided to go with the well known company Sears. I am truly glad I did I found the right unit and the right price on line and truly got the best experience when I picked it up. From the friendly hello that wasn't pushy or stearing me to another product to my sales man who was very professional and help validate my decission to purchase this unit. It has been a little over a month since I've had this unit and it truly does everything it claims to do worry free, my home has a perfect balance of temperture in the room I put it in and I don't have buyers remorse. I live in O'Fallon MO and my local Sears is right down the street on Highway K, so it was also convient. I would recomend this unit to all who are looking for a simple to install and worry free unit that truly does what it claims to do which is cool down the home. An added bonus was when my salesman recommended the additional warrenty for I think it was about fifty bucks extra, I said no at first and then he went in to detail on how the warrenty comes with a once a year visit for five years for a preventive maintance and cleaning and charging if nessacary. This was a great deal for simply about ten bucks a year which in todays tight ecconomy this was simply the way to go a no brainer. I would recomend this unit and recomend going to Sears for this purchase to all, I walked away knowing I made the right choice with the right company.

The Frigidaire 10,000 BTU Room air conditioner works well.

<p>Our air conditioner died at 9 pm on Memorial Day during a heat wave. A family member has breathing issues so having air conditioning isn't optional. I normally read everything I can to look for the best product, find a deal. Time was of the essence with the local Kmart closing in an hour!</p> <p>That said, I did a preliminary review online, checked my budget and raced to the store. I believe I bought the last, possibly only air conditioner in the store but it also was the size / brand I intended to buy! By 10 pm the old air conditioner was out and the Frigidaire was in and cooling!</p> <p>It cools very well. It is slightly noisy but this doesn't bother us. I only mention it because if you want one for your bedroom or next to your TV you might want something quiter.</p> <p>It has 3 fan speeds and the temperature dial goes from 1 to 7. I put it on high fan and 5 when it is in the 70's outside. As the temperature outside heats up, I put it higher. I only need to put it on 7 when it hits high 90's or higher. This keeps us comfortable. At bedtime or when it rains I turn it to low fan speed and 5 again to get rid of some of the humidity. Not sure how that works but it does (and the manual recomends something like that).</p> <p>Pros: It cools great and seems pretty energy efficient from what I can tell on my electric bills. Easy to install.</p> <p>Cons: Not the cheapest on the market but I believe cheaper ones are inferior. Slightly noisy so it depends where you will be using it.</p>

VERY SATISIFIED. This does remarkable job on a uninsulated porch

<p>We purchased this AC unit for a &quot;poorly&quot; insulated Florida room off our home in Florida. It functions&nbsp; VERY WELL for being on the porch in the a.m. to excercise! I would not even expect to operate it in the West end of the house in Florida summers with not having a proper room so it is by choice we choose not to tax the unit beyond 12 noon but for the a.m.........It's a gem and very happy we bought it and does the trick !!!!!</p>

I love the AC--it cools the room I have it in and beyond.

<p>My AC went out on a day when it was 96 degrees, so not&nbsp;replacing it was&nbsp;not an option. I grew up in a house full of Sears appliances and have them now myself, so that was my first choice. The unit I bought was easy to install and more than met my expectations. It cools the room well and the cool air can also&nbsp;be felt in the adjacent&nbsp;room.&nbsp;It also runs quietly. No regrets on this purchase.</p>

the frigidaire 10000 btu cools very good but fan is very loud

<p>the unit cools the large bed room very well but even on the low cool mode the fan is so loud I have to were ear plugs to be able to sleep&nbsp;</p>

Frigidaire 10,000 BTU Room Air Conditioner Excellent Buy.

<p>The&nbsp;Pro's.&nbsp;Great price and does a great job at cooling 450 to 500 sq ft. room. It's&nbsp;Quiet.&nbsp;Not overly heavy for the BTU. The Con's. I have this in&nbsp;a window on ground level in the main living area. I notice it spits small amounts of water through the vents on the inside. It's not getting anything wet. However I wouldn't want that over my bed and happening.&nbsp;The owners manual suggests tilting it a slight more if this happens. I tilted it another inch and noticed it then didn't cool the room as well as it was. I think this problem can be easily fixed if I just spend a few minutes finding the happy medium of the tilt needed to keep the room cool and prevent the vent from spitting. I would definitely recommend this and&nbsp;buy the product again.</p>

powerful yet disappointed

<p>This AC cools very well, but I was highly disappointed in the temperature settings.&nbsp; For example, I can set it on low cool with a 7 setting and the room gets fridged.&nbsp; However, if I set it on low cool with a 6 setting the room turns humid.&nbsp; The vent is closed, not sure why it does this.&nbsp; So we deal with living in an igloo.&nbsp; LOL!&nbsp; Not very quiet either.</p>

Great air conditioner for a great price!

<p>We bought this air conditioner to cool off a large family room. Once installed, it cooled the room very quickly! It is a very reliable and affordable air conditioner! We were suprised that the family room feels at least 20degrees cooler than the rest of the house!We are very happy with our purchase!</p>
