We've had this dishwasher for about five years and it really only worked well for the first 4 or 5 months. It's never cleaned very well (even with very thorough rinsing), so we've spent lots of time and money hiring maintenance people and troubleshooting the thing. At this point, the rinse cycle is so bad that we can taste the dishwasher detergent on our dishes - they actually feel dusty when we pull them out, and our glassware is cloudy with rings of dried detergent on them. We have cleaned filters, run vinegar and baking soda through it, and so on. The only explanation I can think of for others' high ratings is that they've not had the dishwasher for very long. Don't buy this thing unless you get a very long warranty!

The agent said it would be almost three weeks before a technician could come. We are returning it and do not plan to purchase any Kenmore appliances in the future despite the fact that we love working with our local Hometown Sears manager.

I purchased this appliance in 9/2010, it ran fine for 21/2 years then started shutting down during the wash cycle, flashing blue lights on the panel which indicated a problem. I contacted Samsung service who came to my house three times to fix the problem which they could not resolve. Samsung customer service was not accommodating, stating its out of warranty. I paid over $750 to purchase and install this unit.

It only seems to get the dishes clean on the pots/pan cycle even through we rinse them before putting them in there
I like the fact that this dishwasher is much more roomer than my old one. I do wish that it had a time remaining window on the front of the door.
This is a really nice looking unit. The touch buttons are on the top so they don't show. It has a 4 hour delay to run when rates are lower. Extremely energy efficient and so quiet you can't even tell it is running. This is a great product.

bought this dishwasher on 5/30/2010 and now on 5/21/2013 it no longer works for the money I spent I am so disappointed! I will say it gave 3 great years! I won't buy another Kenmore!

I have had this one for 3 years and love it. It is so quiet you cannot tell it is on. It has a delayed start feature but we have never used it because it is so quiet. You don't have to rise either, just put the plates in and ready to go.
Previous dishwasher was white, the stainless steel with the controls on top of the door looks clean and streamlined. The other dishwasher was quite noisy, this one can hardly be heard. Seems to do a fine job of cleaning dishes but so far have only run it 2 or 3 times. My wife loves it.

I bought this dishwasher 1.5 years ago,hoping that by spending more I would get a better dishwasher. It was horrible from the start,did not do what it said it would. The dishes were still dirty and the shelf bracket broke so you could not put it in correctly and had to put a chair in front of it to keep it closed otherwise the door would open. Never drained right,and was the worse purchuse I ever made. DO not buy this,waste of money and you will hate it. I am going to need to replace it since now it clunks and is getting worse. I will not buy this or any other Sears appliance again, sad I bought four appliances that day for my new kitchen and none are the quality of what Sears used to be. Save your money and do not buy this piece of ****
I purchased this dishwasher as part of an upgrade of my 29-year-old appliances. It has a larger capacity than my old dishwasher, cleans very well and is extremely quiet! I can barely hear it running!
