This gazebo was easy to set up with two people. It looks very nice.I applied a can of leak proofing and tried to focus on all seams. I could have used another can as it was windy while spraying.Today, I wake up on day two of ownership and it is raining lightly. I walk out to visit the gazebo with my am coffee and cannot find one of the five chairs without water on them. Since the gazebo has several seams up top, every chair was under one of them and they all leaked. I will head out later to locate some better water proofing for the seams today. The product looks great but my daughter wished I had the old 10 by 10 back.If you live in a climate without a lot of rain, this may work better. Also the 6 zippered sides allow a lot of wind and rain to come through. I plan to hang some material over some of the sides for preventative measures.Wish I had the 10 by 10 older one back too.
I bought this because it was an easy-up gazebo. It did not take long to set it up (other than figuring out the material and velcro parts - the directions were not that clear) and I did most of it myself. I just needed help opening it completely up. I loved the looks of it, although, it was way too light weight. We bought 1/2 cement blocks (ones with one whole thru them) and stacked two on top of each other and the wind still picked up the entire gazebo and it blew across our lawn. The location we had it set up we were not able to use the stacks and rope provided nor could we screw it down. If you are able to do this, I would highly recommend this gazebo, if not, I'd be very cautious...

Bought this gazebo, along with the companion hexagonal table/six chairs for our new deck. The instructions are very poorly done and not user friendly. Whoever wrote them (and the manager that passed them) has no idea how to communicate effectively. Terms are used and not defined, with no clear indication what is meant. The roof consists of two pieces, a bug-netted "chimney" (designed to reduce stress on the entire structure by giving air a place to escape) and the main roof. The chimney goes on first, but tolerances are so tight that seems began to split; now that it's one, those seems are a weak spot. The circumference of the bottom of the bug netting is lined with one side of velcro tape. The main canopy has a large hole in the middle to facilitate the chimney. There is a line of the other side of velcro tape to match that of the chimney, so the two pieces may be attached. The chimney circumference is substantially larger than the main top velcro. Therefore, you have to periodically bunch up the velcro to make the joining of the two sections come out even. This weakens the joining; it is possible that strong wind will begin to pull the velcro apart. There is no determination in the instructions as to whether the legs should be vertical or whether they should splay out a bit, as they seem to want to do. I opted to have them splayed a bit, for it seems to increase stability. Out of the box, the gazebo seems fine, but I am worried about its ability to last. Caveat emptor.
