Garden Oasis Bay Window Gazebo

So far so good

This was a little harder to assemble than I was led to believe, especially the canopy cover. It definately will take two people to tackle that part, and make sure you do it on a calm day. The least little bit of breeze will drive you crazy, and it fits VERY tight, so don't be surprised if you think it's not cut right. I recomend securing it to a deck or cement pad, not in the ground unless you have something besides the 6 inch NAILS they give you. Those wouldn't hold anything down in a good storm. I ste mine on the deck using lag screws. Loosk great, we will see how things go. I would recommend.

Looks really good and easy to assemble

The salesperson told us that it would take about 4 hours to put together, but after 2 hours, we had a great gazebo in our yard in time for our team party. It looks very nice and is quite large. Highly recommended

Broken

We bought this gazebo after loosing two too heavy winds, we have had this gazebo for two years. In January 2013 one of the bars broke from winds. We secured it but the wind still got to it. We call it our leaning pisa gazebo. It seems we have to buy a new gazebo every two years, getting kind of expensive.

Bought this item in July. 1st small storm my 12-year old son and I had to hold it down from blowing away. 2nd storm it completely toppled over. 3rd storm it was picked up and thrown completely across our yard. Thank goodness it did not hit anything on its way. Sears would not stand by the product. AWFUL!!!

Our experience has been great

This is our third season with the gazebo and we have thoroughly enjoyed it.The first spring we were hit with a huge rain / wind storm with record winds. We did lose the canopy and several parts of the roof frame needed to be replaced. Had a great experience with customer service and was sold the replacement parts below the published prices ( I may have gotten lucky with the CS rep that took my call....but I will say it is amazing what can be accomplished when you are nice to people when speak with them on the phone!)After I received the parts, I realized my original frame was just bent and I was able to keep the majority of the original parts. (Kept the replacements incase another hurricane hits the Chicago area!)Have gotten 2 seasons out of my canopy and can easily see getting another season or 2 out of it.We did experience some slight rusting that others have complained about, but nothing serious.We purchased on sale and it has been a great investment.

DO NOT BUY!

This item worked well to shade the sun but as soon as it became windy/stormy, the gazebo blew away and was completely destroyed, even after it was anchored down according to directions. After 2 storms, this item was completely broken and no longer useable. It is poorly made and there is not enough air vents in it to help manage the wind. Another negative is that the design is somewhat pleated which allowed bees to continously make nests in it. We were all stung several times while sitting under the gazebo. Overall, this was a complete waste of our money. When we contacted Sears about the poor quality, they refused to help us in anyway. It was very disappointing that they would not back this product, especially after paying $500 for it.

Poor Quality Compared to 4 years ago; roof seams leak

As the season is ending and we are unable to use the Gazebo as it leaks onto the furniture, I called sears.com warranty line to request that Sears call Sunjoy on my behalf and ask them to expedite the claim.

As the the seller all I’m asking Sears to do is call the supplier, Sunjoy, and act as my advocate. If I cannot get service direct from Sunjoy then my request to Sears is my only option.
I tried to reason with the 4th person at the Sears warranty line, but he simply repeated that I should give Sunjoy more time and refused to take any ownership of the issue. I consider 5 weeks more than enough time.

This is the second bay window gazebo I have purchased from Sears. The first was excellent and lasted 4 years until destroyed by the freak Halloween snowstorm last year here in New Hampshire. The new item purchased online in March 2012 has a much inferior quality canvas. We will be storing the gazebo for the winter shortly after Labor day, so have gotten no use out of the product in the 2012 season. This is both disappointing and unacceptable customer support from your telephone call center.

I purchased this item 4 mths ago and within 2 weeks the frame started to rust, the netting had holes and some of the tiebacks ripped off. Since then, the canopy has completely faded and beginning to rot. It is set up in an area that gets sun only part of the day. Only pro - We staked ours down into grass and it has held up to very heavy wind storms. I am extremely disappointed in the product, especially for what I paid for it. I am currently looking into warranty info and /or return policy at sears to see if I can get a refund.

Great Gazebo

We had to replace our old gazebo and we found this one.  It is a very nice look.  It blocks the sun well and the quality is good.  The post are strong and the the cloth is also a good quality.  The sheers are nice but my "wonderful" dogs chewed one of them.  Only con, we did have obolt it to the concrete to keep it secure.  I would recommend it, plus the price was good.

Garden Bay Window Gazebo

Great for our deck. Very roomy and love the fact that all four sides are accessible through  a zippered screen. Only drawback is that it is pretty light so a strong wind will blow it over. We don't want to nail it down so we are still debating on how to secure it.

Very Disappointed!!

We bought this gazebo 2 years ago and its a mess!! Its torn all over the place from the being weather worn, not good quality at all!! This is our second one. The first one rusted so badly within the first month that we took it back. For $450 you would think it would last longer then this.Very disappointed, buyer beware!!! Would NOT recommend!!

Garden Oasis Bay Window Gazebo Item # 07112216000P

Purchased this past Spring (2012).  Husband was able to construct by himself. A little problem with upper vent, but managed to figure it out. Instructions on upper vent were not clear or missing.  Starting to rust in a few places.  Not good when it rains as anything under it will get soaked.  Sturdy and nice looking. Basically, serves it's purpose for what we needed it for.

Bay Window Gazebo is wonderful!!

When our old gazebo was damaged by high winds, we knew we had to get another one to have any kind of shade on our back deck.  This gazebo is a wonderful replacement, and we enjoy it very much!
