We were looking for a small backyard fire pit and this one is great! We had a huge windstorm and it did not affect our new fire pit at all. That is one reason that we bought it, because the wind here can pick stuff up. This unit is heavy enough to withstand the local desert winds.
I bought this when I bought my house, as a gift to myself, because I'd always wanted a firepit. My bestfriend and I put it together in about thirty minutes and of course used it that first night. I've had it for several years now and love it! It's very sturdy but light enough for me to carry - I am a 5'2" woman who is fairly strong. I am able to carry it short distances by myself. I store it on my patio when not in use. I've gotten lots of compliments on how pretty and sturdy it is.
Bought this as our first fire pit and have spent many great nights around it under the stars. This pit has stayed out in our yard since we first used it, as you would expect. It has always had a canvas cover on it, except for the one night following each use - as its too hot to cover right away. Despite all of this I was recently cleaning it out for our last 'pit' of the year and discovered that the bottom had rusted right through in a couple of places. I've looked high and low but cannot find a replacement bowl for this (or any!!) firepit. Very disappointing. On reflection I would have maybe got some good heat resistant paint and given it a good coating before first using it.
This is a great product... tires all the way around and easy to assemble. Perfect for evening fires on our patio.
Great family entertainment in the evenings
Small enough to keep close to the house and roast marshmallows on. Great fall family activity. We love ours. Although it is just a bit small it serves the purpose for what we use it for.
Good starter fire pit for those who don't use it too much or want to experience a fire pit without spending a lot. We bought three for an outdoor event that we were having, and while they looked nice, we couldn't put too many logs in it, and had to keep going back to relight them.
WE have this pit in our backyard. I like it. It's very nice looking. I just wish it were a tad deeper. you can't really fit larger logs (and by larger i mean more thant 3 inches in diameter) into the bowl because it is so shallow. If you are having an extended fire (say a party) then you will be almost constantly feeding the fire.
Out of the box the parts did not line up for the rings that attach the legs. I even called in some assistance and they came to the same conclusion. I drilled holes where they should have been and then assembled the fire pit. My wife and I like the fire pit alot but this thing is so basic, it should have gone together in minutes without ANY modification.
We love this fire pit! We were looking for something more sturdy but still portable. This fits both of those. Very well made.

OMG this is such a nice fire pit. Easy to move, but heavy enough that you don't feel like it's falling apart. Easy to put together and use. Perfect for back yard gatherings. It also looks very nice with almost any patio furniture. The downside is that the mesh screen top rust too easy.
I haven't had a chance to light up the fire pit yet but it is of very solid weight and looks great on our patio. The stone work makes the fit pit really stand out from all of the others out there. Looks more expensive than it really is.
II have not burned anything in it yet, but it seems well made and looks good in the yard. I just wanted one for when i may need it and this one was on sale & was in my price range. I saw some cheaper at the discount stores but they were smaller & flimsy looking for only about $30. in savings over this one. If you want a more substntial one, you will have to pay two to three times, but for occasional use like I wanted, this is just right.
