I purchased this dishwasher because I was living in an older house, and it didn't have room for a dishwasher to be installed. This dishwasher is a great dishwasher. It cleans the dishes well, and is easy to use. I love this dishwasher. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone who needs a portable dishwasher.
I purchased one a wile ago on sale. I wish I had spent about 70 more and purchased a 3 level dish washer rather than the tower of terror I got. It doesn't wash dishes thoroughly, nor does it rinse completely. I am totally unsatisfied with the results.
bottom rack not big enough. silverware basket shold be in door.
We bought this portable dishwasher a couple of weeks ago and it has already made a huge difference in our small kitchen. Using the top as counter space we have actually gained space. The dishwasher does a very good job on the dishes with minimal pre-cleaning. Like any dishwasher, you can't overload it, but this is a very good product for the price.

I have this unit in black, we bought this back in 2007 and it still works as great as it did when we bought it, never had to replace a part or anything. We use it just about everyday at least 5 times a week and after reading a negative review I decided to add my experience with this dishwasher, which has been nothing short of positive! I say if you get a unit that leaks you obviously have a defective unit, instead of calling the manufacturer call SEARS and have them take care of it, you do have 30 days to return or exchange, so why go through the hassle of having to wait when you can get it fixed that day if you are able to take it back to the store yourself. I never thought my unit would last as long as it has, but I am more than happy with it and am really thinking about going to GE for all my appliances in my home.

This dishwasher makes it easy on my hands. We didn't have any space in our kitchen and was tired of doing dishes. A family member had bought one of these and loved it. So suggested to us and the rest is dishwashing history. I like the butcher block top it doubles for more counter space if needed. My water bill has gone down tremendously ever since we got this item and when done using it can be rolled out of sight!
For the cost of this product, I am very disappointed in it's performance. I consider the quality of this machine as "poor" and would not recommend it nor would I purchase another like it. It does not clean the dishes and everything I have washed comes out covered with water spots.
This dishwasher is horrible, even if you rinse them before you wash them they always have food or soap left on them. The top rack is the worst. It is extremly loud and the cycle takes forever. I find you will have to run the rinse cycle twice and they still have food and soap left on them. JUNK!

We ordered this machine to replace a 15 yr old one that sounds like its gonna explode. It rolls so easy I almost mashed into the stove. Both racks of dishes came out clean( we rinse them first) and my well pump doesn't have allot of pressure. Were they dry at the end, no, but they were in the morning. However it wont hold as many dishes as the old one. I wanted one without extra gadgets and a simple dial timer that wont burn out. We like it just fine.

We purchased this machine and used it for a little over 1 month. It is not a very heavy duty model, my recommendation is for a couple with a young child or no children, or seniors, who do not wash a lot of dishes, this would be a great machine. For someone like myself who has a husband and three children do not choose this model. I had a Kenmore ultrawash for almost 15 years. It cleaned super thoroughly, was very quiet and could handle the one to two large loads of dishes we generate. This machine was noisy-my husband noticed right off it does not have a bottom covering or the amount of inside insulation like the kenmore ultrawash does. So it was loud especially as it shifted cycles. It continuously left food remnants on the dishes, particularly the dishes on the top rack. My old dishwasher also did not require pre-rinsing the dishes, this one did. The dishwasher setup inside was very efficient though, it was super flexible and easy to load, dishes fit very well into it. The cycle handle was also easy to use.

If I wanted to hand wash or re-rinse everything then I wouldn't need a dishwasher. Does a great job of leaving tiny bits of food all over everything. Tried to work with it, turned the hot water heater up to melt down, same problem, cascade, same thing, half loaded, ehh...maybe.Very picky about how its loaded, I just thought my old machine was picky about how it was loaded. Cost too much for something that we hated, so back to Sears it went, no problem with the refund, and that was the best part about that machine.

I am a bachelor, This product was a no-brainer for me. I purchased this item, thinking that I would still have to pre-rinse my pots and pans. NOPE! It cleans WAY better than I ever anticipated. I wish I would have purchased this years ago! It also rolls very easily to the sink when needed. I do however wish the hose assembly and power cord were a bit longer. This is actually a minor inconveniance for me, as it isnt the Dishwashers fault, that I dont have an outlet a bit closer to the sink. I would recomend this to any Bachelor, whom does not like doing dishes. I do dishes about 2 times a wekk now, and the great thing is, that I just put the dirty dishes and close the door! NO more dishes in the sink!

I like the price and style of my portable dishwasher.I really like the counter top top.It performs well but is a bit noisy.Over all though a great buy.

Unfortunately, I don't have the room for a built in dishwasher, so I've been searching for a good portable. It's really a shame that they are so much more expensive than a built in! I've been determined to find one at a reasonable price, but didn't want to wind up with a dishwasher that was really inferior and couldn't perform the duties is was made for. With a houseful of kids, we tend to dirty a LOT of dishes, so we need a dishwasher that can handle that task. So far, this dishwasher has done just that.

I was a little concerned about the logistics of having to more and set-up a portable dishwasher. I imagined it to be far more cumbersome a job than it actually is. This thing is quite light, and because it's on casters it moves very easily in any direction. The power cord and water hoses retract back into the unit, so they are out of the way and not unsightly when not in use. It could litrally NOT be any easier to set this up, unless it did it on its own. The hoses are attached to a single attachment that just snaps onto the faucet. I was imagining a hose that needed to screw onto the faucet, but the attachment snaps on with ease. It's not any more noisy than the built in units I've had on our other houses. Being a portable, it doens't have cabinets around the other three sides to muffle the sound, but it truly doesn't bother us at all. We can manage to watch TV in the livingroom and never have to turn the TV up to hear over it.

Thus far, it has handled all of our cleaning needs. I have not had to rewash dishes, and my children do not believe in actually scraping or rinsing dishes. The heated dry function, pots and pans wash, and the hot water start are nice features to have. The only thing I wish it had was the top rack spinning sprayer, but I have yet to notice a lack in cleaning ability without it. I hope that stays the same over time. I just try to make sure that my kids don't overload it enough that the top rack doesn't get water.

I definitely recommend this dishwasher to anyone that is looking for a reasonably priced, quality performance portable dishwasher.

I bought a model GSC3400 9YEARS ago, it just died last week. I plan on purchasing this Dishwasher soon. We rented a older house & it was just what we needed, especially having 3 kids under 3yrs old! We were able to move it to our current rented home, and it had been washing strong all these years. Now our family has grown to 5 kids under 11yrs old & cant wait to get our new dishwasher. I hope it last just as long!

I ordered this dishwasher thinking I was going to get something cheap.Well I got a REALLY nice Portable Dishwasher! It's quiet, easy to move, large capacity and washes the dishs the first time everytime!I couldn't have asked for more! It's Great!!

Well worth the Money!!

This Dishwasher is horrible, as soon as it was hooked up it immediatly started leaking from the sides, then after listening to it wash for 2 hours (Extremely loud wash cycle) went to check on it...the dial had never moved from "wash". it was stuck in wash cycle! no rinse, no drain, no matter where you moved the dial, it just continued washing. had to pull the plug to get it to stop, and bail out the water by hand to empty it! Called GE customer service ( or DIS-Service as it turned out) and they basically said that if they could get around to it next month, they might end someone out to look at it, and I had better be home or else. Extremely rude and unhelpful!! ended up taking it back to sears for an exchange, expect the new one in next week, hope it works out better.

I believed that I made a good choice in this dishwasher with the previous reviews...but not once did this dishwasher actually produce clean dishes for me. I turned my hot water all the way up, rinsed the dishes before loading, pre-rinsed the dishes, and everything else the trouble-shooting suggested, but still THE DISHES DID NOT COME OUT CLEAN!!!

There is only one tower that comes up from the bottom of the dishwasher to clean the dishes. I have always seen a tower on the bottom and an additional sprayer on the top with other dishwashers. I believe this is most of the problem I had with this dishwasher not performing correctly.

Not to leave completely negative feedback...one positive thing about this dishwasher was that it was quiet during the wash cycle.

I would NOT recommend this dishwasher to anyone. I returned mine asap.

This replace an old portable dishwasher that was quite noisy and just didn't do the job anymore.

I am extremely IMPRESSED with the job this dishwasher doesl Yes I do rinse my dishes and silverware before placing in dishwasher, but they do sit in there for several days, before I run a load.

I have found that using the 'Spot Scrubber' choice is the best, even if I have no pots in the machine.

My dishes come out clean and sparkly. I use Cascade with bleach and then I do put Jet Dry or Cascade 'finish' in the appropriate dispenserl

This machine does a WONDERFUL job and is extremely quiet! I have had to go into the kitchen and actually listen to make sure it is running.

This gets a 5 Star from me!

I did luck out and got it on sale at Sears, a fantastic deal all around!!!!!!

I am VERY PLEASED!!!!!

We bought this dishwasher back in Nov. 2009 for our first home. I tested this machine to it's limits! I put in dried caked items along w/ double stacking items on the top shelf. Everything came out sparkling clean! just remember to not block the area where the water comes out for the top shelf! You can't really clean pots and pans in the machine but we bought this to clean our dishes. I think that you need good water pressure to get the best results, since our water pressure is really strong the dishwasher has been wonderful!!! it even dries the dishes too! This is the best portable dishwasher around!
