Drop-In Ranges

Although I purchased a drop-in range from Sears, it was not the oven I really wanted, but, because I had to replace an existing drop-in range I had no other options. The range looks very nice, however, I found out that I cannot place a large foil or baking pan it the oven , I must use a medium size pan when I bake and no matter how much I cover my dishes spills always appear at the bottom of the oven, but the automatic oven cleaning feature is excellent. So I must say, with the exception of the pan size, spills, and only one large burner, overall, it is a good range and looks very sleek and modern in my kitchen.

Nice Oven

This is a very nice modernized conventional oven. It was our only choice in a 27" drop- in oven if we didn't remodel our kitchen. I, nor others could find anyone else who manufactures this size. So...it wasn't exactly what I wanted, because I wanted a glass top, and maybe stainless, but 3 choices of color are better than none. We chose black. The oven turned out to be a very good upgrade for our kitchen. It works beautifully, and looks great too. It has alot more upgraded features than our 30 year old 27" it replaced. (same brand) I have no complaints, except it doesn't come in glass top. Our sales person didn't think they'd be selling this size of oven for that much longer. So, it turns out it was good our old one broke down now, as remodeling our kitchen to fit in an oven is out of the question at this time. It's your only choice out there for this size, but altleast it's a good one.

GE drop-in range in bisque

We bought a house that had a 27" drop-in stove by GE but we had to replace it because it was very old and lacked the necessary features we desired in a stove.
We searched the internet for another stove but it being a 27" drop-in, proved very difficult to find and at an affordable price so we ended up with this one.
The oven seems smaller than the older one but the light inside is nice because the bulb is protected by a thick glass case. It has self cleaning but we had not used it yet. It is digitized but the timer sound is barely audble from a distance so we use a small timer instead. It has basic features but it suits us fine. Other than the price being way too high for any normal household budget, it so far, proves to be a good stove by GE.

GE 27 in. drop-in range

I had no choice but to buy this 27 in. drop in stove or remodle my kitchen. I have this same stove with an almond top, that I purchased probably 20 years ago. I have enjoyed it very much, as I hope to like this one, althought I'd really rather have had a slide in 30 in, smooth top. (I hope someday they will make a "27 in." drop in with a "smooth top".)
I'm sorry but the features are'nt to my liking as the one I purchaed 20 yrs. ago. The timer sound isn't as loud as the old stove. Their are too many steps to set the timer, than the older stove.
I did not like the silver drip pans, so I am using the black ones that were on my older stove.
All in all I like the stove, which was my only option.

I got this stove in Feb. I would have loved a full size range but would have had to remodel my kitchen. I have not regretted my decision for a second. I love it.
