Description
Self-cleaning GE electric range can cook an entire meal at once
The GE 30-inch electric range has a durable, porcelain-enameled upswept cooktop for quick, simple cleaning. Chrome drip bowls contain spills quickly and easily. Removable coil heating elements provide even heat distribution, and are extremely easy to clean. QuickSet III electronic touch pads on the control panel provide simple, at-your-fingertips cooking control.
The GE electric range has a super-large 5.3 cubic-foot oven capacity. A dual bake element produces top and bottom heat for uniform browning and quick preheating. A small, hearth-shaped window helps you to keep an eye on your favorite foods. A removable, full-width storage drawer offers ample room for storing pots and pans.

Attractive design, good basic features, one flaw

This is a good stove for the money. No bells & whistles, but does what is needed. The only problem is that the back two burners are too close to the back where the controls are, so that you can't put, say, a spaghetti pot on the large rear burner. So either the location of the burners should be adjusted, or the control area should be redesigned to not jut forward.

Terrible "new oven" smell

We purchased this range and it is going back. The initial odor was terrible (burning/chemical). A technician came out, stated the smell was insulation or oven coating, but had no suggestion. GE suggested we run the self-cleaning cycle, which drove us out of the house and left our kitchen smelling for 3 days. The smell was still there. GE suggested we need to run the self-cleaning cycle 4-5 more times and then the odor will go away. I'm very disappointed.

Surprised by the quality considering how inexpensive.

I am very happy with my new range. My last GE stove was still working but it had seen better days. It came with the house when we bought it back in '87 and my guess is it was from the 60's or so. I loved it though. I love my new one to.

This product has lots of features!

I really love using this range already...it has so many features. It lets you know if you need to push another button to complete what you're trying to do by beeping and displaying it across the screen. I would definitely recommend this!

We own two of them!

We purchased two for rental properties. They are durable and the tenants are very happy with them. We own this model with the glass top, and it's been fantastic, too. Highly recommend.

Best buy for the money.

Stove has a lot of features and easy to use. Set it up with no problems the direction was easy to follow. Every thing is well made. The oven is large and bakes really good. Great range for the money.

Nice product for rental unit

We needed to replace the range and over-the-range micro. GE products gave us a perfect color match. The range has a nice appearance and fits our basic needs for a vacation area rental condo.

Happy With My Range Purchase

My new and modern range is for the most part a great deal for the money I paid. It has very nice features easy to understand and use. And most of all, it's a very attractive appliance, everyone that comes in to our home and see it, compliments it.The manufactured warranty is for one year, so I purchased the extended warranty for 3 yrs. Thinking that once the one yr. manufactured warranty exp.; then my 3yr warranty kicks in, giving me a total of 4yrs.; but that's not the case. The 3yr warranty starts the day of purchase, running concurrent with the 1yr manufactured warranty. Totaling a mere 3yrs.

Good no frills range

Nice product for the price. The only disappointment was I was expecting to get delayed start or programmable oven start time. The features list and description is not clear. I down loaded and looked at the manual and the manual covers most of GE models. It appeared to me all their stoves had this feature.This one does not. I seldom use this feature but would be nice just in case.

probably the most basic of electric ranges

nothing to brag about. just your ordinary electric range (electric coil). We didn't like the glass top because we hear a lot of complains related to scratches on the surface; harder to maintain.This one is the run of the mill electric range; like the ones you get when you first buy a new house and the appliances came with it.Quality can be better. One of the coils don't seem to sit flat on the surface. When a pot is placed on it, it kind of rocks back and forth. Kind of disappointing for a design that's been around for a long time and GE still seem to not get it right.
