Saved my tail

No other generators available found this one at an ace hardware it ran the fridge, dog fence, light, fans and tv during the recent power outage in West Virginia. Yes it's small but it did the job. It ran for 6 hours at a time with out difficulty. Quality product!

Bill Again

I am posting again as I posted before "Not recommending this product" Thjis is an update: I took my generator to Generac in North Bend, Wa. They stated a bad circuit boad and needed replaced after 25 hours and 14 months. They stated a 1 hour labor rate of 85.00 and 10-14 days. I picked it up yesterday and they charged me nothing in labor, even though was past 12 months. Not sure if shop or Generac themselves, but I am assuming an isolated case and will now update to recommend. Thank You generac, you did the right thing. It makes a BIG difference and again I will suggest your product.

Generac ix 1600 inverter Generator

I had not ran a full tank of fuel through my Generac ix 1600 before i experienced problems. While on a job site where provailing wadge was $34.00 an hour, time is money,and the failiure of this product cost. This machine failed to run so I called Generac and they refered me to a local service rep. who himself was unqualified to diagnose the problem. My generator was in his shop for two months while they tried to find the problem. They found fuel in the oil do to a malfunction. I am unaware if this is isolated to my machine, or if this is a problem with the product line. After getting my generator back it ran rough, but it ran. I was able to use it for two more hours before it quit again. I contacted Generac again. They told me I had never registered my product, and the service rep never registered a problem, so this left me stuck again. As a bussiness owner and manager of reasources it is important to have integrity in what you do, and look out for those who depend on your knowledge and experiance to provide the best quality and performance possible.Generac would be best served in takeing the anititive to enforce their loyalty to the costumer. My recommendation to Generac, spend more time and reasources on meeting the needs of the consumer and less time deflecting legitimate claims. On a different note, the claim rep.s are very professional and curtious. Please don't get the wrong impression, this is not an attempt to smear Generac, I believe in them as a company and their willingness to display the integrity I know they posses. However, I have a machine in my garage that has hardly been used and is still of no service to me. The second part of this post is dependant on Generac. They have a wide line of solid products, Im just not sold on the ix 1600 inverter Generator. Please, make a believer out of me.

25 hours and broke

Taking it in to repair after 25 hours and 14 months. Motor is solid, starts first pull. Run's 100% with no load, overload light on with nothing plugged in. Generac gave me repair shop 40 miles away, I found one 8 miles away with google. They stated likely bad regulator. Next time I'll buy a Honda and skip this mess of KAOS and driving, calling all over heck for a relatively New generator. Warrany on labor expired. I may throw in trash and buy a honda or whatever if over 200.00 labor to fix. Sad.

very good camping product

I used my 1600 watt Generac on a seven day camping and hunting trip this winter and it did very well providing power for lighting,microwave,and other items.
