I bought this one & a tom tom for my son in law for Christmas. GPS FOR DUMMIES was very easy to use but more importantly more accurate then the TOM TOM ever after updated online.
The maps are from 2009. NO updates available. If they ever are avail they will cost $35. This unit is NO easier to use than any GPS. All of them are very easy to figure out. EXCEPT ALL the other brands have newer maps and offer updates. Some offer them for free. This unit is so basic and old it's a waste of money.
When traveling and you DON'T HAVE on your phone, this is the best thing to have!

We did not realize how much you use a GPS since we have one. This item as saved us a lot of gas!

For the size, I was very surprised with all the capabilities and battery life. Works great for many application's.
