have bought two of these for my grand daughters . five and four . they love them . they are kid friendly . they are getting hours of use out them with no problems . great for young kids first mp3 player .
I don't know how this got 5 stars but for more accurate reviews go to the ********* website - you just cannot upload songs and if you do they get stuck. This is junk. Frankly there are no decent kids-tuff mp3 players out that that you can upload your own music to and play. I got a real one at *********** for $39 - it is fine for kids 5 and up if they are just a bit careful. For younger kids get the sesame street player with their own songs preloaded. I spent weeks researching this.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 8 year old. She loves it. The faceplates are easy enough for her to change herself. With most MP3 players, when you plug into the computer, the box pops up so you can choose what you want to do...that didn't happen with this. The computer recognized it immediately, but I had to go to my computer and then select the drive it was attached to in order to open it. It wasn't really clear where to put the mp3s and there were no directions for downloading your music, but I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. It takes a AAA battery- which I love, because when the battery dies, I can just pop a new one in and she's on her way.... I like not having to wait to charge it. It's definitely not a high tech MP3 player, but it works quite nicely. Also able to hold a lot of music. Good value for the price.

I bought this for my wife and it works great for her needs. It's easy to load songs on the MP3 player and listening to the songs is easy as well. I would definitely buy this again.
I am to total Hello Kitty fanatic, so imagine my glee when I found this at my local K-Mart! Reasonably priced for how much storage it has and the interchangeable face plates make it a decent deal for any Hello Kitty fan or girls. Cons are it requires batteries and doesn't charge using a USB cable like most other MP3 player do, and the buttons on the front are a bit iffy. There isn't a on-off button, only a play/pause that doubles for the on button. It would be a great gift for kids.
I purchased this for my 4 year old daughter as a Christmas present despite the poor reviews that I read on most sites. I figured that it could not be that bad for a toddler who loves Hello Kitty and wanted an ipod for Christmas. I WAS WRONG!! The only positive thing that I have to say about this is that the music loaded very easy. However, when it was time to operate the thing it was difficult even for me and that is because you have to push the buttons very hard and over and over to get the thing to play or skip tracks. Then every few minutes she would bring it to me because it would stop working all together. I would literally have to take the battery out and put it back in to get it to start working. I was using brand new energizer batteries. She was so excited to see her Hello Kitty IPOD Christmas morning, but so disappointed that it only half worked when it was time to use it. I will be returning this for a refund.
This was purchased as a gift and our granddaughter loves it! It is so easy to use and it looks adorable. I would absolutely buy another one.
My daughter loves Hello Kitty and this made her so happy on Christmas morning to open. It is adult enough for a 17 year old.
Wish there had been reviews available at the time that I bought this. My daughter wants an iPod, but I'm afraid that she'd lose that expensive electronic, so I opted for this cheaper MP3 player w/ the cute interchangeable plastic covers. Not only did the plastic cover break when we gently tried to swap it out, this MP3 seems to not want to receive downloads no matter what we try to do. The directions that come with it are cryptic at best, and Customer Service was unreachable. Very disappointed. We're taking this back, getting a refund, and going for the iPod Shuffle -- $49.99 right now at ********, which is $20 more than what I paid for this unuseable MP3 player.
