Why should I become a topic admin?

Become the owner of your favorite brand, activity or hobby. ShopYourWay lets you take control of your favorite topic page and decide what content to publish on its page and in other users’ newsfeed. Being a topic administrator puts you in the driver seat, letting you create and lead discussions, and have an influence on the stuff that matters to you.

How can I become a topic admin?

First you have to ask. Go to a topic’s page and look at the left column. You’ll see a section that looks like this:

Click the link and submit a request. ShopYourWay will receive the form and decide whether you are eligible for topic ownership. Some topics can be owned by all users, but most brands, stores and sites are meant to be owned by official representatives. However, such representatives may decide to add other administrators to help them manage the topic.

You’ll receive an email from ShopYourWay with a response to your topic ownership request.

What can I do as a topic owner?

You can do a lot. As topic owner you can change the topic’s icon, and decide exactly what kind of content users will see on the topic page. Furthermore, by using a settings page accessible only to you, you can control what type of stories will appear in the topic followers’ newsfeed.
