Works Well

Puts off a lot of heat, but doesn't really heat a large room well. A great compliment to regular heat. Glad I bought it. The converting of the unit is great. Very helpful.

If you plan on using this every now and then it'll probably last longer than mine did. I used the heater every day approx. 8 hrs. I kept the temperature on 65 and I still managed to go through two of these heaters. The first one lasted 4 mths, the second two mths. I will not be buying any type of heater made by Holmes

Bad Product for the Price

I put this in my 12x15 bedroom and it can't even heat that. The fan is insufficient to push any heat out into the room so it just heats up a little 2 foot area around the heater. The built in thermostat actually cuts it off at 70 when the rest of the room is under 60. I've seen better heaters with better fans at a third of the price. This one will be returned.

No good heater

Cons: I'll give it a NO STAR!!!
I bought this heater thinking that expensive products will actually work. It turned out to prove me wrong. Not only it was too expensive but it was a cheap item that turned off on me the 2nd week. I'm returning it and getting another name brand for a fair price. Either way these things don't last forever.

Pro:
For the two weeks that it lasted, it actually heated my room pretty well.

DON'T DO IT

I can only echo the sentiments of the others. The heater lasted for 2 months, DID NOT heat sufficiently, and is obviously a very poorly made product...especially for the price their asking. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a Holmes.

Heater

I would not recommend this to anyone! I thought this would work real well by cutting off when it reached a certain tempature, but it wouldn't turn back on.

I bought this heater and it did not work so I exchanged it for another. I have a large room to heat and it seemed to work great for about a month and then quit working. The buttons are very hard to turn on. This might be a safety feature. I returned the second one and bought a differant brand.

Uses too much power

Looks good. But I think it pulls too much electricity. Kept blowing my fuse's in my house. I am retruning it. I will get the radiator style oil heater. It's cheeper and more energy efficient.
