great price! suggestion - buy extra blades when you buy the mower - you'll need them in the future, but my experience shows they're not easy to find if your mower is 5 years old
Great piece of equipment. Works great, makes my lawn cutting jobs much easier than my previous lawn mowers.
<p>Had this mower for a short while.Has 2 year warranty.I have had it in the shop for carb replacement then the pull cord broke . Have used this mower 7 times for a very small yard.This mower is unreliable I will never shop for a mower at Sears Again</p>
I did all my research on this mower, and two of the best selling points are the 3 years warranty and the 1.4 gallon gas tank. When I was checking out , the associate asked if I wanted to buy the 3 year warranty, I said nah it already come with 3 years. Then he said that only covers defects from the factory?? I said what kind of defect would take 3 years to appear, strike 1. I bought this mower on 6/24/12 and was excited to use it. I stopped at the gas station on the way home and actually assembled it in my trailer so that I could put over a gallon of gas in it, Imagine my frustration when it was full to the brim and it held only .375 gallons of gas! I have a large yard and I was really let down by this, strike 2. Well, I got it home, got my walkman on and I was ready to go. The mower started on the first pull and away I went, but then I thought where did my music go, I have to have my music while I cut. No matter how loud I turned the volume up, the motor on the mower was so loud I couldnt hear it. Never have I had a mower that loud, strike 3. I returned the mower the next day. I went with a craftsmen mower with the platinum mower, I sure hope it is a little quieter.
Just moved into a new house and had to buy all new lawn equipment. Our lot is large, but not large enough to warrant a riding mower, so I opted for this Husqvarna because it is a self-propelled mower with variable speed. At the time of this writing, I have only mowed once with it, but it did a great job. Our grass is a rather thick St. Augustine and it was very tall so the first cut was very tough on the mower. Toward the end of the mowing the drive belt came off and I had to re-install it, but I am going to assume the reason for that is that I worked it so hard. Once re-installed, it did fine. I am looking forward to using it next week and seeing how it does when the grass is a reasonable height.
Probably a great mower if you don't mind pushing almost 100 pounds around. Weighed 25 lbs more than my last mower and it was just too heavy to turn, especially in my somewhat bumpy yard. Took it back (great customer service on return!) and bought a Toro from **********. Love the Toro!
We bought this new from Sears 2 years ago. The first time we tried to use it it would not start. We took it to Sears, they told us we need to use special gas. We used the special gas ... it ran for about 7 minutes then would not start again. We took it back to Sears, after three more day we pick it up and could not start it. We took it to a local small engine repair shop, (certified to work on Husqvarna, because it was still under warranty), they bored out a orfice in the carborator to make the orfice bigger, hoping it would not get "gummed up" from the gas. The mower still only runs for about 10 minutes then dies and will not start. It is the worst mower we have EVER had and it is the most we EVER paid for a mower. DONOT buy this mower!

I have had this mower for 3 years now. I worked for sears for 8 years in the lawn and gardern and tool section. I bought it because of the kohler engine. It takes me a least 10 pulls to start the mower. I brought it to the sears service center and said they fixed it but it still doesn't work good. The ready start system is horrible. My dads pressure washer has the same system and it also has problems starting. The mower stall whenever it goes through thick grass. The only two positives about the mower is the auto walk and the cutting height adjustment. I summary this mower is horrible but I don't know if any of the other ones are better. The ready start system seems to be the problem. I used to buy everything at sears but I am done with them.
Its an amazing mower! It's also a bit on the heavy side. I purchased this mower after the LawnBoy I've owned for years finally gave out. Another reviewer had mentioned the mower being "long". I can now see what they mean. Once I opened the box i could tell it was larger than the LawnBoy. Side by side it has about an extra foot in length. It's great on the straight-a-ways. But if you have a small lawn with alot of tight areas, you may want to take it for a push around the store before you buy. I really like this mower. I'm very happy it starts on the first pull. The Kohler engine is fantastic! I even tried the wash cycle at the end. A bit odd, but did a great job cleaning off the underside.
Our 13 yr old son picked this mower in lieu of the riding mower he wanted; mowing is his chore & he Hated it with our old push mower. He LOVES this powered mower, it's easy to pull start, & easy to turn and use. So, we're all happy.
This mower started on the first pull out of the box, wheels adjust with one knob, bagger comes on-off easy, you don`t have to tip it upside down like rivals to change the oil. Has fitting to hook up to garden hose to clean off underside. Did not need a foreign language guide to read manual, you will not be disappointed.
