Piece of Junk

Don't buy this freezer.  It leaks freon and dies after 2 years.  Sears will charge you $100 to come out say it is boken and they can't do anything for you.  Sears suck ever since they a started to go bankrupt.

Over 2 years old

I bought this freezer over 2 years ago. I meant to write a review sooner but it just didn't turn-out that way. Anyway, I just want others to know that I don't have a single complaint worth voicing here, only praise. I searched everywhere for an affordable frost-free chest but apparently frost-free only exsist in uprights. I still wanted a chest. It runs so quiet, I don't know when it ever turns on. I only had to defrost it once and just because we were moving. We live in a humid climate and there was just a little ice at the top around the lid. We keep it indoors. It was so easy to defrost for the move. Its so economical on energy costs too. For those who still don't understand why the lock wouldn't keep theives out, let me suggest it wasn't built to keep them out. Apparently, It was built to keep small curious children from getting trapped inside an empty freezer. I think that's the law now, isn't it? All freezers are built with this kind of child-proof lock.

14.8 cu. ft. Chest Freezer

Wonderful freezer, it holds a lot and I mean a LOT of food. I wasn't expecting to put as much in it as I thought. Love the light in it (I went from one without a light to one that has one), the separation areas (great if planning an event that you want to separate from other foods like what I am doing). Nothing bad to say about this freezer. Wonderful value.
